I replaced all the Lowel stands (which strip out over time, despite good care) that came in my DP kit 11 years ago with these stands. They are lightweight, solid, and close up more compactly that the previous stands. There are cheaper options out there, but you get what you pay for. Arri is an industry standard, and these stands are perfect for 5/8" stand-mounted lights.
