This is my first Epson Product. I've used HP printers almost exclusively for about 15 years. I remember when HP made products that were easy to use, easy to set up, and performed as reliably as a tank. Sadly, that is no longer the case. Today HP software is bloated and slow, and their products just don't last as long as they did in the past.
Wireless printing seems to be the big draw these days, but really it's nothing new. I'm sure that in the past 5 years I've setup at least a dozen wireless printers for friends and family (e.g. HP Officejet 8500, HP Officejet 7410, HP Photosmart C7280, and others using a linksys wireless print server). The thing that makes this Wireless printer different than the pack is how EASY and FAST it is to setup. Maybe 15min after opening the box I had the Epson Artisan 725 fully setup, registered, and printing wirelessly from my PC - as an added bonus it even prints from my iphone (download Epson's iPrint for your smartphone's app store).
Honestly, the specs for the Artisan 725 speak for themselves, you won't find better printer/scanner at this price. However, I will say that I am currently scanning in some old photos (wirelessly!) and they look great. No loss of quality at all even after a bit of magnification. Best of all, you don't need to use any fancy software to scan your photos. Sure it comes with some Epson image editing software, but unlike a lot of HP products the installation of that stuff really is OPTIONAL! Just installing the basic drivers is enough to allow the printer to work as advertised!
If your comparing products in this price range, then you should also look at Canon PIXMA MG5220. I chose the Epson because it prints color photos more accurately (saw an in store demo).
I should add that the Canon has some fancy features that the Epson lacks. EX: Canon's "Full HD Movie Print" which lets you print frames from video as photos. It's not anything that you can't do in photoshop, but it's a neat feature to include in the printer itself. On the other hand, the Epson has a fancy method of printing directly onto CD's. I can't see myself using either feature.
My last bit of advice is this - if you're not satisfied with your printer... it's time for you to break-up with it. Your printer is just using you for the money you spend on ink replacement, and you deserve better. As they say, "there are plenty of other printers in the sea."

Printer is a good value. even on lowest setting prints are great, which makes event printing fast and less expensive. I would give the ez print software only 2 stars though, not very user friendly. Scanner is supposed to have same resolution as my 5 years old canon, but it is not nearly as sharp. Also only takes 20 sheets of paper for 4x6. Kind of a pain to have to switch often

Comments about Epson Artisan 725 Wireless All-In-One Printer:
Wanted a wireless printer for the home that could print on Cd's. It was really easy for an old guy to set up wireless. The printing quality is wonderful, photos are a snap. My only surprise is the foot print with the double sided feeder is larger than I expected but is only a minor thing to deal with considering all the other benefits.

Comments about Epson Artisan 725 Wireless All-In-One Printer:
Print quality is exceptional--5 stars-- which is why I repurchased the Artisan after my 710 died. I got 2 years out of that one, which isn't much.
Also, the 710 model allowed you to turn off "Auto Head Maintenance" which saved tons of ink. Epson won't let you do that on the new model--bad news! This thing really goes through the ink.

I use this printer for my home office and so far, so good.I don't print a lot but when I do, I need it to just work, and it does. It was very easy to set up and looks great in the office. The wireless printing works perfectly. My wife is constantly printing 4x6's of her iPhone photos of our baby. It's a no brainer for home office use.

Comments about Epson Artisan 725 Wireless All-In-One Printer:
Bought this as as replacement for a cheap, pardon me "high value" printer that came with my computer five years ago.
I wanted a printer with multiple ink cartriges as I was going broke buying ink and only having to replace the colors that run out is a lot cheaper than replacing multi color ink cartriges when only one color was used up.
The printer was easy to set up and the WiFi function works fine in a house with three computers and several smart phone users all of whom print on it.
I'm a photographer and do not see this as a replacement for a high end pigment printer or for a dedicated film scanner. That said it does everything most reasonable people would ask of an all in one unit and is simple to use and easy on the wallet.
It goes without saying that the service from B&H was excellent.

I use the printer for scanning photos and printing verious papers and also for CD/DVD covers. The machine is working great and I had it up and running after just using the quick guide. The quality is great. If I had one complaint it would be that the machine is noisy, but with such a great outcome, I can accept that.

First off Epson products is top of the line! I've had nothing but a good experience with their products. The printer is cheap on ink with the 6 different cartilages. CD printing is great and produces vibrant colors. Awesome printer, great price can't go wrong with this buy!

I bought this printer not only for it's color reproduction but for it's wi-fi features. What's even nice is I don't have to buy a printer for each computer I have so it keeps the workplace neat. As a commercial photographer, I send off my work in DVDs and printing the image on the disc is important to creating a lasting impression.
Set-up for the printer and the wifi is EASY as 1-2-3 if you follow the instructions. I took me less than 10 minutes to set it up to my main desktop and my notebook. I even downloaded the apps for the iPhone to print directly to the printer.
Whatever it is, this 6 ink printer produces AMAZING COLORS and DETAILS. Highly recommended!

Comments about Epson Artisan 725 Wireless All-In-One Printer:
My Artisan 725 is probably the finest color printer and all-in-one functinal unit I've owned. It blows away my HP color Laser Jet--which was $260 more in cost. I use it for both home and small business tasks. I print a lot of full color proposals that require heavy graphics, photo's and charts. The print quality of the Artisan far exceeds that of many higher cost prints from other manufacturers. The scanning features and resolution choices are also another set of functions that I use daily. Those functions not as easy to change as I would like. Wireless set-up though for the Artisan 725 was incredibly easy. Once I loaded the application it took me 5 minutes to print my first task. It has worked flawlessly right out of the box. There is that one part of the printer which I believe needs improvement. The control panel is a bit misleading. In this day and age of smart phones that offer control via touch screen and functional buttons, the Artisan 725 uses an older style toggle system to set menu items. If you try to touch the screen where you think you should, everything defaults back. Until you adjust to a slightly older style of set up it gets a bit frustrating.

This printer has it all.I love that its wireless because that allows me to put it out of the way(less clutter around the computer). Also, with multipule computers everyone can print from there own. I print alot of pictures,so having a separate tray with my photo paper is great.I no longer have to go to the printer to switch out the paper.I just click print from wherever I am in the house.

Comments about Epson Artisan 725 Wireless All-In-One Printer:
I considered the newer 730 model but with little to differentiate it in the home office general family use I could not resist the price. For not much more the cost of the ink I got a compact printer that with duplex (although not enabled out of the box) that meets all the families needs and exceeds my expectation for vibrant well balanced photos. The scan and retouch feature I have tested out with excellent results directly from the device. The mobile device / WiFi printing provides flexibility with location and use. If you have not upgraded your home printer in past two years, this is the model to make you do it now, get lower cost on consumable (ink and paper) with a sleek energy efficient device and a low price.

This is a great printer! Set-up was easy, connecting to my network was easy and wireless printing is fast! The prints are super contrasty, but I have yet to calibrate the printer with my computer, so I'm hoping that will change. Ink really is not that expensive. [$] for five cartridges is not what I consider bad at all, and I've printed almost 100 4x6's with barely a loss of ink.

This is the only printer I have purchased that I had to buy a specific ink Cartridge. You have to buy Epson ink. it will not let you use anything else. That is $ 20 bucks a pop, per.Not very happy.
