It's not gonna stop all the wind but it definitely helps to tone it down.
A lot cheaper than a blimp, I'd love to get my hands on one of those to do a side-by-side comparison but, for the price, I'm very satisfied with the performance of this in combination with my K-Tek fur windsock.
I would definitely recommend this item to a friend.
