The Aquatica T2i Underwater Housing is designed for the Canon T2i (550D) digital SLR camera. This form fitting housing is machined from a solid block of aluminum; reducing weight and housing size. The housing is anodized and coated with a powder coating and baked for a robust weather and wear resistant external finish. The housing might be light but it is rated down to 300'. The control buttons have their functions permanently printed on them, so they will not peel off.
The Aquatica T2i housing features a retractable focus/zoom gear knob, pulling out this cleverly designed control clears the path for smoothly installing and removing the camera/ lens assembly even when a zoom or focus gear is attached to the lens. This allows for easy replacement of batteries, cards or lenses.
The housing features a single manual Ikelite bulkhead. This allows you to easily connect one strobe with a standard Ikelite single sync cord to the housing. You can also connect two strobes with an Ikelite dual sync cord. The bulkhead allows for precise manual strobe control. The Aquatica T2i housing features easy access to the vital video function controls while retaining its ease of operation for still imaging. All vital controls for both imaging modes have been moved to easily accessible and comfortable locations on the housing. You can even attach the optional hydrophone for quality sound.
The most critical aspect of underwater SLR photography is the viewing system. The Aquatica T2i has a viewfinder that shows a big and bright image. For the ultimate in viewing the optional Aqua View Finder is available for precise focusing and exact composition.
Positive four point bayonet mounting and a locking mechanism leave no doubt that your ports are securely in place and water tight. The bayonet system dome, macro ports and extension rings, offer the fastest and most comprehensive access to the lenses for rapid changing without having to remove the camera from the housing. This housing allows use of lenses from a 10mm/180 degrees fisheye lens to a 200mm macro lens. Teleconverter port extensions are also available. Remote control cords, and other accessories are also available so the Aquatica T2i will meet the needs of the most demanding underwater imaging artist.

- Ikelite Manual Bulkhead
- The housing features a single manual Ikelite bulkhead. This allows you to easily connect one strobe with a standard Ikelite single sync cord to the housing. You can also connect two strobes with an Ikelite dual sync cord. The bulkhead allows for precise manual strobe control.
- Bayonet Port
- A positive four-point bayonet mounting and a locking mechanism leave no doubt that your ports are securely in place and watertight. The bayonet system dome, macro ports and extension rings offer the fastest and most comprehensive access to the lenses for rapid lens changing without having to remove the camera from the housing. This housing allows use of lenses from a 10mm/180° fisheye lens to a 200mm macro lens. Tele-converter port extensions are also available separately.
- Menus
- Buttons have been angled 20° and extended when needed for better ergonomics--knobs are now grooved and knurled for optimum operation when wearing thick gloves.
- Hydrophone
- Available separately as an accessory and easily mounted via one of the provided accessory bulkhead mounting holes.
- Controls
- Fingertip access to all camera menus and video controls includes On-off, Live view mode, Record On/off, ISO lever, Exposure mode, bracketing, Meter positioning and focus control, AF activation and lock access via a single easy access lever. Access to all menu features include review, enlarge and delete, histogram and internal SLR preferences.
- Retractable Focus/ Zoom Control knob
- A retractable mechanism now allows the gear rack to be pulled out of the way, this makes easy work of inserting and removing the camera when a lens with a gear is attached to it.
- Lens Release
- A retractable lever is provided for easy lens changing through the front port with camera installed.
- Remote Control Grip
- Available as an accessory and easily mounted via one of the provided accessory bulkhead mounting holes.
- Viewing Eye Piece
- The most critical aspect of underwater SLR photography is the viewing system. The housing uses a viewfinder that shows the biggest and the brightest image possible in full-frame viewing.
