The EeeBox PC EB1501P Desktop Computer from ASUS is a compact desktop computer. It features a standing design that brings elegance to your desktop, while at the same time saving space. You can also opt to mount it to the back of an LCD display, thanks to the included 75/100mm VESA mount.
The system features an HDMI output for HDTV connectivity, and the ASUS Total Media Center application for video playback. It can output 5.1-channel audio via S/PDIF, making it a great choice for use as part of a home theater. The computer has a slot-loading SuperMulti DVD burner for disc playback and authoring.
The EeeBox manages to balance performance, size, and power consumption. A dual-core Intel Atom CPU is capable of handling most tasks, while generating less heat and consuming less power than high-end desktop CPUs. This allows the EeeBox to be small and quiet, while still providing enough processing horsepower to run multimedia, home, office, and Internet applications.
The system is powered by a dual-core 1.8GHz Intel Atom D525 CPU, and boasts 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Next-Generation nVIDIA ION GT218-ION graphics. Device connectivity is achieved via eSATA, USB 3.0, and USB 2.0 ports. The computer also features HDMI, VGA, and S/PDIF output functionality. The installed operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

Using this behind a 42 inch Flat Screen for departmental e-bulletin board. With windows 7, a nice sized hard drive, strong wifi, and great blue tooth keyboard and mouse you can't beat it. While I wouldn't use it to play the newest FPS shooter graphics are also suprisingly smooth.
Highly recommend for similar application or home theater PC.
Comments about ASUS EeeBox PC EB1501P Desktop Computer (Black):
Pros:
- Great for watching online videos.
- Responsive in replying my emails to support.
Cons:
- Documentation is scarce.
- Doesn't come with HDMI cable.
- A stand screw suspected to be missing.
- WiFi seems to only work at 2.4GHz (5GHz doesn't work).
- Take longer than expected for initial setup.
Summary:
- Doumentation is scarce, so I have to kinda figure my way out of setup. My WiFi at home is set to 5GHz band (to avoid interference with my 2.4GHz phone), but apparently it doesn't work for EeeBox. Once I passed that, it works great for my purpose -- watching online videos.

A good product, very easy to setup. I hooked it up through HDMI cable to my 32 inch LCD TV. My wife and and my little son uses it to watch movies, surf the doing home work. It is perfect. I did the upgrade of RAM, step by step according to youtube video, so the total RAM is 4G. The machine is reliable.

Its good for home entertainment TV set up comes with mouse and keybordthat works good (didnt try it from long distance) has a HDMI port gigabit, and WiFi. Im not a big fan of the 35mm jack to RCA for digital coaxial. I didnt spend a lot of time working on it but I couldn't get ot to work. You canupgrade RAM to 4gigs. Look on U tube for guidance becaue openingit could be a challange for some. I had it for a week before I noticethe CD rom was not working. [...] im currently waiting for a replacement. Should you buy this? If you likeWin 7 yes!! MAC users get the mini MAC. I have both and had no problems with the MAC. Comes with a mount that can attached on the back of a TV but the screw holes on it only fit the TV wall mount for smaller TV's. P.S. dont use theASUS media software it's worthless un-install it.can only be used with sm

It is a nice and sleek box, but watching flash video full screen is a bit choppy while in the window it is OK. This prompts that either processor or graphics is not coping with rescaling. For these money I would suggest to buy a micro-tower PC with a normal processor. For example, HP s5650z with 512MB NVIDIA GeForce or ATI graphics.

Piggybacks on the back of my 22" monitor, clears up my desk, and is a wonderful nettop. With the remote control, and media centre, I get an awesome internet TV with netflix. HD works fine on flash-based sites, but netflix (silverlight) HD is annoyingly choppy.
Power consumption is quite low!
