The Back Pad from SHAPE is a standard rig component included with most SHAPE camera rigs. Its design features a powder coated anodized aluminum plate and arm which are attached to a thick padding on the side facing the user. The pad is easy to both attach and remove from your rig, and it supports the SHAPE BOX attachment. Additionally, the pad's position can be adjusted to the user's preference – up to 2" vertically and 360° horizontally.

This makes the rig more secure on your shoulder. It has threaded holes in it so as to bolt on a counter weight. Which I would say would also be a big help as the rig can gets heavy on your arms after not very long.

I use this back pad with my BlackMagic Pocket Shoulder rig. Fits snug , but it depends on how you have your shoulder rig set up. I recommend it it because it gives you the added security for when your moving around while filming.
