The Lowepro S&F Technical Harness (Black) is designed for a photojournalist or photographer who needs go light and move fast when covering an event. This lightweight, supportive and flexible design must be worn with the Lowepro S&F Light Utility Belt or the S&F Deluxe Technical Belt to relieve the weight of heavier loads. It also fits a Street & Field #13 Deluxe Waistbelt, large. It is made from 600 denier polyester, 1680 denier nylon, 420 denier AZ Dobby nylon and Dry Flo mesh outer fabrics.
The S&F technical Harness uses SlipLock attachment loops to allow the attachment of compatible S&F or Lowepro SlipLock products. There are lapel strap keepers that secure a camera strap to the harness at the shoulders via a sturdy snap which fully integrates with optional S&F Utility Laptop Backpack 100 AW to create a comprehensive working system. It is ideal for a sports photographer or journalist, when the backpack is attached to the harness with a belt via straps and SlipLock loops. A detachable handle cup and restraint straps quickly convert the harness to a backpack allowing the photographer to carry an additional Lowepro shoulder bag. There is a sternum strap with built-in safety whistle that adjusts for a comfortable, snug fit.
Note! This harness cannot be used alone.

I shoot documentaries in developing countries where it is important to always have your camera. I used the S&F system on my last trip, and it made a huge difference! I was able to know the camera was available when I wanted it, but could zip it up and be sure that stuff wouldn't leave me without knowing it. My previous system meant that I either had the camera out, or it was packed away. It took a lot of time to unpack and start shooting again. With the S&F system I could go from packed to shooting in seconds. I wore the system all week and didn't have any complaints. The weight was well distributed, and I wasn't worried about breaking anything.

Serves purpose but could be improved
Very sturdy. Back strap is not long enough for tall people. I had to add webbing and connector.
Not enough D rings attached. The D rings are too high up.

Comments about Lowepro S&F Technical Harness:
If you have S&F Deluxe Technical belt - get this harness! It's light weight, won't make you hot, and will help take the weight off the technical belt. Very good construction, lots of attachment points and even comes with a hanging loop for a coat rack. Once you attach it to a technical belt, put on a few lens bags, attach flash units to the front straps, put on phone case, second camera, etc - be prepared to look like a commando!
One of the best investments for an event photographer though.

The S&F Technical Harness is a great item that does what it says. Coupled with the S&F Deluxe Technical Belt, it holds lots of items and distributes weight comfortably. I just wish it had some kind of holster to also hold a tripod.

Comments about Lowepro S&F Technical Harness:
I use the harness along with the lightweight belt and assorted pouches to carry my photography gear in the woods and fields. Similar to Vietnam era Alice web gear, only better. It takes some repositioning of the various pouches to get the system to balance with your load just like military web gear. A good system for field work.

The Technical Harness is a great supplement to the Lowepro Technical Belt and bags like Lowepro Toploader Pro 75 AW to bring more gear to the action. You may need one or more Lowepro Lens Cases additional to the Toploader. Great for shooting skiing, climbing, trekking and being able to take part in the action.
I have used Lowepro camera bags since the 1980s. They always deliver performance and quality, and are hard to wear out. I have also received great service like free buckle replacements etc. I consider Lowepro products better than insurance for my valuable gear!
