The Eee PC 1015PEM-MU17 Seashell 10.1" Netbook Computer from ASUS is a tiny portable computer. Thanks to its Intel Atom CPU, the 2.8-pound system can operate for up to 10 hours between battery charges. It features a 10.1" LED backlit widescreen display and 802.11n Wi-Fi for network connectivity. You'll be able to participate in video chat thanks to the integrated webcam and microphone.
The computer is surprisingly comfortable to use, given its extremely compact design. The keyboard features a chiclet design, allowing even the fastest touch typists to use the system with comfort and accuracy. A touchpad is present for cursor control. As an added bonus, the computer comes with an ASUS WebStorage account that gives you 500GB of online storage space!
The system is powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Intel Atom N550 CPU and boasts 1GB of RAM. Its spacious 250GB 5400rpm hard drive gives you ample storage space for all of your files. The ASUS Super Hybrid Engine (SHE) optimizes system performance for the active task, helping to balance power consumption and performance. Windows 7 Starter (32-bit) is the installed operating system.

My intention was to delete Windows and use Jolicloud OS but in Jolicloud there were issues with the wifi radio going on and off. The Asus is optimized for the Windows 7 that comes on it. If you don't mind Windows 7, this netbook is very good. The trackpad's button is stiff but you can double tap the pad instead. Battery life is excellent.
I only use it for the Chrome browser and cloud computing and so I have no data stored on it and did not even install the virus software. I spend as little time in Windows as I can and just use it to get to Chrome as fast as I can, that is when the Windows updates, dialog boxes and invitations to install and/or buy virus protection will let me work.
