The K-r also has a highly responsive and accurate 11-point SAFOX autofocus system with a viewfinder focus point indicator that confirms the area of focus, a 6fps frame rate, a top shutter speed of 1/6000s, 100-25600 ISO range and a very effective sensor-shift shake reduction image stabilization system.
A wide range of in-camera processing and special effects filters (including a dazzling HDR function that can be used even without a tripod) gives you unprecedented creative options without going near a computer.
And all of these features are found in a camera body that's just 4.9 x 3.8 x 2.7" and weighs less than 20 oz. Plus, it runs on a single rechargeable Li-Ion battery or 4x AA batteries (with an optional battery holder).
