Adaptimax Plus Nikon to micro 4/3 Lens Adapter
This Adaptimax Plus Nikon to micro 4/3 Lens Adapter allows you to use all Nikon and third party Nikon mount lenses with or without external aperture rings on the Panasonic AG-AF100 Micro 4/3 video camcorder, as well as the Panasonic GH1/2 and Olympus E-P1. The Adaptimax adapter is CNC milled from high-grade aluminum, then anodized. It is then fitted with a chrome-plated solid brass Nikon mount. The rear of the adapter is made of hard-wearing stainless-steel for extra strength and durability. All Adaptimax adapters are hand finished to the highest specifications and come with a 12-month no-quibble guarantee. This item is manufactured in the UK.

I use this adaptor with an AG-AF100. The nob on the side is a must for Nikon lens without an iris ring. Of course, this adpater works with Nikon lens with an iris ring as well. The nob provides smooth iris adjustments. Great product!

To get the most out of my AF100 with Nikon Lenses of ANY sort!
I use primarily older primes which click on without a hitch every time. The funky little screw on the side might look funny, but that is how you will adjust the iris with any of the auto-iris, newer lenses. With the older lenses you simple close the aperture all the way and then you can back it away using the screw to get infinite range of the iris... no need to worry about stops or half stops, you can fine-tune the iris to a T (pun intended)
Things I'm not happy about? I think they should have used a flat, perhaps felt finish on the inside to avoid light from glaring off the metal surface. Not generally an issue, but would be a nice addition. When you are dealing with lenses like Nikons that are designed for full-frame chips or film you have light coming down the tube that doesn't end up on the chip.
But this isn't something that often causes an issue whatsoever, just a suggestion for a future model!

I use this on my GH2 and AF-100. For lenses with no aperture ring, this is a fine solution. The iris control screw should be retracted fully when mounting the lens.

Well built, and it simply works. I bought this for the Panasonic AF100 camera, and it does the job, and does it well. I thought the screw-in-the-side was weird at first, but now I realize it doesn't matter since I have infinite control of my iris, and that's the key for me.

This is the second Adaptimax adaptor I have owned. I own a Sony PMW-EX3 and have the Adaptimax Nikon adapter for that camera and now I own the Panasonic AG-AF100 I wanted another Nikon adaptor. I wouldn't trust my expensive lenses on any other manufactures adapters. Adaptimax is the most expensive but worth every single penny. You get what you pay for.
