The Sony KDL32BX420 32" LCD TV is great set for the den, bedroom or kitchen-or even a boat or RV. But if you think opting for a smaller size screen means sacrificing advanced features, think again.
You certainly won't be sacrificing a quality picture. This set uses the same BRAVIA Engine Sony uses in its biggest sets. This is the latest evolution of Sony's processing system for superior image detail, exceptionally vibrant, life-like images, reduced noise and optimized contrast and color.
Another Sony innovation you'll enjoy is 24p True Cinema Technology. Video is shot at 30 frames per second (fps). Motion pictures are shot at 24 fps. That's made showing movies on TV problematic since the earliest days of the medium. Your KDL32BX420 can actually, in effect, "downshift" its frame rate to 24 fps so you can enjoy movies that match the theater experience.
You can also use the set's USB port to share content with family and guests. Plug in a USB compatible device like a flash drive and you can enjoy JPEGs, MP3s, home videos and more, right on your TV. With all this talk of sharing let's not forget the KDL32BX420's five HD ports. You can hook up a Blu-ray player, DVD player, satellite connection and more. As you fill those ports up you'll be glad you have BRAVIA Sync. It's based on the HDMI CEC standard and in simple English it means you can control a slew of HDMI CEC-compatible devices with one remote control.

Best TV in 32" size. 1080P sooo much better than 720p from LG or Samsung.

Love the Bravia line. I do agree with other comments that the start-up banner takes a little long to clear the screen. But other than that, its a perfect set for Den or Bedroom application.

This was used to replace an old tube TV set in a small railroad museum. The difference was startling. Even though it is only 32" the image is so bright and sharp, adequate images can be seen from 18 feet away.

Comments about Sony KDL32BX420 32" LCD TV:
We use this as our main television in our living room. We don't do anything interesting with it, ie: hook up computer or pictures to it (we're not that tech savvy), or have it synched with other televisions...etc. We really just use it to watch TV and movies - and for that, we love it. Looks great, sound is good, and it's the perfect size for our living room.
So, while all the bells and whistles might be make the cost even more reasonable, I found that the ease of set up, the look of the television and the quality of the picture were well worth the price.
I gave 4/5 stars only because I really don't know how good the features are I don't use.
We love it and it does just what we want it to do - show us television and film the way it was meant to be seen!
** Doesn't come with an HDMI cable - in case you don't have an extra one, you'll need to purchase one.

Comments about Sony KDL32BX420 32" LCD TV:
The PIP only works in PC mode via DB15 (video) plug on the back. So you can watch TV or another HDMI input while using it as a PC terminal BUT you cannot look at say HDMI1 and open PIP to anything else.
Also the PC input 'crawls' even with a quality video cable. PC video card output to a HDMI port is much better quality on the screen, but then you lose the PIP capability.
Otherwise it's a good choice, and as a computer monitor, it's OK for many applications (not text or drawings with fine lines though).

Comments about Sony KDL32BX420 32" LCD TV:
TV is used for some programing but mostly for DVD movies, home video and eventually for viewing my photos.
It is more than enough TV for my small living room. Had to sit back a couple more feet to really enjoy the fullness of the very beautiful picture on screen. The picture is sharp enough most of the time. But, the times it is not so sharp are due to the signal coming in.
I am very much pleased with this purchase!
Could use a 3rd or 4th HDMI connection, at least a third one. As an alternative another set of Component connections would be OK.
I repeat that I am very much pleased with this TV.
