The DP-03 Digital Portastudio from Tascam provides extremely flexible recording, mastering, and CD burning capabilities in an exceptionally compact design. The Portastudio offers built-in microphones, plus XLR inputs with phantom power and 1/4" inputs to capture audio from a variety of sources. Audio can be captured to SD/SDHC memory cards, shared via USB, or burnt directly to a CD. Tactile controls and built-in effects make it easy to manipulate your raw recordings into finished projects. 8 Tracks
The recorder can capture up to 8 CD-quality tracks. It captures 2 tracks at a time until all 8 are filled
SD/SDHC Capture

Onboard Mics
A pair of stereo condenser mics are built into the front panel so you can capture live performances, rehearsals, and ideas without connecting additional equipment
XLR Inputs
A pair of XLR inputs with mic preamps and 48V phantom power allow you to connect your favorite external microphones
1/4" Inputs
A pair of 1/4" line inputs are provided, which can be switched to instrument level, allowing you to connect an electric guitar or bass without a direct box
RCA Line Output
A stereo RCA line output lets you connect to additional mixers, recorders, and other devices
Headphone Jack
A standard 3.5mm stereo headphone jack lets you listen to your audio on-the-fly
Tuner and Metronome
The built-in chromatic tuner and metronome keep you in tune and on tempo. Each function has its own dedicated button for quick access
Editing
Built-in editing features allow you to copy/paste, silence, clone tracks, and undo. You can also bounce all 8 tracks down to 1 or 2 tracks. A dedicated stereo master track is also provided
Effects and Processing
Each track has its own send to a stereo reverb processor, plus a 2-band shelving EQ. Audio limiting is also available
Physical Controls
The 45mm faders and dedicated pan knobs give you tactile control over your audio
CD Burner
The built-in CD burner allows you to burn your completed tracks directly to a CD without the need for additional equipment. You can also import a recording via CD
USB Connection
The USB 2.0 connector makes it easy to transfer your creations to a computer. You can also import recordings via USB
