Archos 32GB 9 PCtablet with 8.9" Resistive Touch Screen
The portable Archos 32GB 9 PCtablet with 8.9" Resistive Touch Screen features the Windows 7 Starter Edition operating system, which is made quick and efficient by the Intel ATOM Z515f 1.2GHz Processor, 1GB DDR2 SDRAM 400 internal memory and a storage capacity of 32GB on an integrated solid state drive (SSD). The PCtablet also features an Intel Poulsbo U515W video chipset, Realtek ALC269 audio card, and a software suite with Windows Live and Lotus Symphony. Plus, with an exceptionally stunning 8.9" resistive touch screen, LED backlight and 1024 x 600 resolution, the tablet looks as a good as it performs.
For wireless connectivity, the 9 PCtablet has WiFi 802.11 b/g support for accessing the Internet from your wireless home network or from a WiFi hot-spot. Plus, the 9 PCtablet also supports Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR connection. Besides linking with wireless devices, the Bluetooth capability allows the tablet to access the Internet via your mobile phone's 3G connection as well. For wired Internet access, the tablet features a 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet port. It's also equipped with a USB 2.0 port with two additional ports via the port replicator. There's a 3.5 mm stereo audio output as well, with an additional output via the port replicator. The replicator also supports a microphone input and the Ethernet port.
Archos infused the 9 PCtablet with several other conveniences as well. It features mouse navigation via the optical finger navigation system (trackpoint) and left/right mouse buttons. The integrated 1.3 megapixel webcam, built-in microphone and stereo speakers are ideal for video-chats. Plus, the 9 PCtablet even has an integrated one-leg stand that affords two positions that make both viewing and typing more comfortable. The removable battery lasts up to five hours the tablet also includes a software suite that contains Antivirus/Antispyware, Office Productivity, Web TV, Radio Player, and Email Manager/Chat programs.

We purchased this tablet because it is windows based. We are using it as a flash based demo for one of our touch screen products and it works beautifully. The touch feature works well, especially when we use our thumbs to touch the screen.
