The Bushnell 8 MP Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Brown Case) is water- and snow-resistant, functions quite well even in extreme temperatures (-5 to 140° F), and is ideal for shooting game and wild life. It can be quickly mounted on tree trunks, posts and other supports using the adjustable web belt provided.
Recording high-quality still images at 8 MP with 1-second trigger speed, the trail camera also features Field Scan, a time lapse feature that clicks images at pre-set intervals ranging from 1 minute to 60 minutes. Field Scan is not triggered by game, and covers a long range (which may be out of the PIR range) and a large area as well. The adjustable PIR (Passive Infrared) sensor is motion-activated by movement of game at a distance of up to 45’ (13.7 m).
The camera simultaneously captures Field Scan images along with Live Trigger images, and in multi-image mode it clicks up to 3 images per trigger. If you are looking for video, the Trophy Cam shoots Widescreen, VGA and QVGA clips, with audio capture making the experience vivid. Night vision ability is up to 45’ (13.7 m), and the 32 Black LEDs acting as an invisible flash prove their worth when visible flash is a game deterrent. The trophy cam shoots color videos during the day and B&W during the night.
The B&W text LCD is meant for only displaying the menu text to help you with the setting and programming. Connect the trophy cam to an external monitor, and you can watch several days of video footage in minutes using the variable speed playback feature. The compact-sized trail camera has a SD card slot to accommodate up to 32 GB memory and a USB port for connectivity. With the power consumption being very low (less than 300 mA) during the stand-by period, a set of lithium batteries (not included) last up to 1 whole year.

Last year I used two of these cameras to compare with the larger in size brands I currently owned. They worked well and were much easier to pack and set up. I now own 14 of these cameras and have sold all my others. Battery life is great, will last a full season. I do purchase the metal boxes for my cameras and use 1/4 inch wire cable and a good lock to secure to a tree and this has worked well for me.For there size and at 8mp I get really good pic's of Elk, Deer, Turkeys, Bears, lions and all kinds of small critters.

Great little camera for the money
Easy set-up. Great range up to 52 ft (factory spec 45 ft). Nice wide angle for daylight but diminishes greatly at night with infrared flash.

Have been using four of these to do a time-lapse of a construction site. So far weather from 30F-85F with rain, fog and sun. It's easy to setup, very dependable and great with battery usage.
The standard tripod mount (1/4x20thread) is handy as is the included straps for attaching to a tree/post/etc.
I have not tried the motion detector (put tape over the sensor) so I cannot speak to that, but as a high-quality weather-resistant time-lapse option, it can't be beat!

I heard the batteries last up to a year. I didn't buy the digital type batteries, but I should've. They only lasted 16 days. It's probably because the trail cam took 192 minutes of video, in those 16 days. It didn't miss a thing, so it seems. I can't wait to get the next batch of videos. I'm planing on buying another.

Comments about Bushnell 8 MP Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Brown Case):
I am not a hunter and I knew nothing about game cameras. After reading about the various features I decided purchase it for use as a home security camera and it has far exceeded my expectations. The camera arrived as promised, was simple to set up and has performed great. The daytime photo's color is vivid and crystal clear. I can say the same for the night photos which are in black and white. The camera is mounted in my bedroom looking out though a glass window. Since motion sensors can't pick up heat variances through glass, I use the "Field Scan" feature which can be set to take photos in intervals of 1M, 5M, 15M, 30M and 1 Hour. Works for me!

I was looking at identifying the creatures that come in my backyard at night.
The close picture have a very bright centure (actually too bright, just like the infrared flag too powerfull or concentrated in front of the camera.)
Camera picture and operation is all OK.

Setup by a tree stand to monitor game movement. Has worked as advertised, both in video and still modes, daytime and nightime. A valuable tool when you can't have "eyes on" 24-7!

I bought this trail cam for my husband for Christmas. He hasn't tried it outside yet but had tried it in the house. The pictures look great and we're waiting for some flash cards to come in so we can try it outside. We plan on using it to see all the wildlife we have on our 65 acres especially the ones that get on our deck in the middle of the night.
