Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Sony NEX-5 & NEX-7
The Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Sony NEX-5 & NEX-7 is a sheet of 0.02" (0.5mm) ultra-thin optical glass used to protect your camera's LCD monitor. The glass features 6 layers of protective material that protect your display screen from dirt, scratches, sweat and oily fingerprints. The glass also blocks UV rays while allowing visible light in. The protector is easy to install and remove.
Note! Environments with excessive heat and humidity will shorten the useful life of the adhesive on the glass.

Beautifully designed and made, straightforward to install, utterly professional in appearance. Looks like (and should be!) a factory-standard feature. This thin optical-glass cover is so invisible, tough, and easy to use that it instantly makes all plastic screen protectors obsolete.

I've bought a number of these protectors and rated all of them highly. This particular purchase was made to replace an existing protector that had been chipped on the edge.
The instruction direct the user to apply moderate heat to the old protector with a hair dryer and gently pry the piece loose. I held the camera up to a space heater on the low setting at 2"-3" for approximately 3 minutes, slipped a credit card under the edge and slowly lifted it off. A quick wipe with a lens wipe to remove the excess adhesive and the new plate was ready to install.
I've installed these on all of my cameras with LCD screens and have been very happy with all of them.
