Whether you're tracking down that big buck, or you're simply an outdoor enthusiast, the Bushnell Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Black) can help you locate what you're after. The Trophy Cam features 8Mp of still image resolution and numerous image capture options. Multi-image mode enables capture of 1-3 images per trigger, and the programmable trigger interval shoots anywhere from 1 second to 60 minute intervals. The camera can also run on a day/night passive infrared sensor that takes a picture whenever movement is detected, from up to 45' away. Forty low-glow LEDs, which are invisible to hunters and game, fire when the sensor is tripped, capturing impressive images day or night.
In addition to getting 'behind the scenes' photos of your favorite wildlife, the Trophy Cam also records 1280 x 720p HD video. Videos from 1 second to 60 minutes can be made, and the camera can be programmed for video capture. Other features of the cam include Field Scan with Simultaneous Live Trigger and a time-lapse mode. The Trail Camera uses 4 to 12 'AA' batteries, and depending on the number of images captured and the number of batteries inserted, it can run for up to 1 year on a single set of batteries. SD cards up to 32GB can be inserted into the camera for multitudes of pictures and video. In addition, the Trail Camera comes with an adjustable web belt and features a 1/4-20 tripod socket for easy mounting.

Comments about Bushnell Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Black):
I bought this camera mainly to track local wildlife and locate an escaped cat. It performed that job flawlessly once I figured out the best settings configuration for that need.The set-up is straight-forward, the motion sensor detects animals at a good distance, and the time-lapse function works quite well. The pictures are about 900 KB at 8 MP, and are pretty good for infra-red. Daylight pictures are nice and clear, and the field of view is wide enough to get good coverage and still keep resolution at distance. It's not telephoto, nor is it wide-angle, but a good compromise.I did uncover a few shortcomings:The biggest is battery usage, I get a couple thousand pictures on one set of four batteries. That sounds like a lot, but might be only a few days worth if there's lots of activity. The other option is twelve (12!) batteries, which I assume would last three times as long. So I've generated a fair amount of battery waste, pollution I'd rather not have created. Bushnell recommends lithium batteries, which are even more polluting than alkaline.No power supply is included, however, Bushnell specifies a Radio Shack part number for a plug that would fit the camera's power socket. They do not provide a part number or reference where you can buy the AC transformer. I ordered a universal supply from [@], but the plug won't fit because the TrophyCam's socket is highly recessed. I had to wire the Radio Shack plug onto the other plug as an extension. This could be a big problem for people who wish to use this cam on AC power.Once the camera is set up and located, you have to open it up to turn the power on, then close and fasten it. I always get a picture or two of myself turning it on and closing the cover. Also, it takes enough force to close the cover to sometimes move the cam, and I have to re-aim it, which triggers a few more wasted pictures.The camera mount is also recessed a bit, making it less secure on a couple of my tripod brackets.In general, the camera is easy to use, takes great pictures, and I consider it a good investment. But the little design flaws are very annoying and make me want to throttle the "engineers" who designed the camera and the "inspectors" who approved it. You just know they've never really used the camera. But they're in China so I guess I won't be telling them about it any time soon.Bottom line: I like this camera very much and I recommed it even though small details appear thoughtlessly designed.

Comments about Bushnell Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Black):
This is the first time I've purchased a trail camera. I have used it for surveillance on my property following several incidents of vandalism. I found the Trophy Cam to be quite easy to set up and use, and it has produced very good images and video too. I found the 3MP mode more than good enough for my uses, and when coupled with a 16GB SDHC card, storage has not been an issue.I did discover that even top shelf rechargeable NiMH batteries are virtually useless in this application due to their rapid self-discharge and very poor low temperature performance. I did not experiment with lithium ion rechargeables, due to their relatively high cost; I simply used alkaline batteries instead, but I'll be exploring this issue further in the future.There were three relatively minor problem issues I experienced with this trail camera. The first was the rather long delay that took place after motion detection but before video recording started. This delay is consistently 2-4sec, which leads to the loss of significant image data at the onset of video recording.This problem makes the camera less than completely reliable when trying to catch short term events on video, such a person walking across the camera's field of view, or even a vehicle driving by; the target is out of the frame before recording even begins. I consider this a serious functional limitation.The second issue was minor by comparison, and related to the difficulty I experienced opening the case latches, especially in the field. The plastic handle of the latch lies smoothly against the (very good) camera case when closed and latched, so much so that I found it quite difficult to open the camera to access the SD card for removal, or to change settings. With cold fingers it was almost impossible. A slight curve in the end of the plastic latch handle, away from the camera body, would make opening the camera much easier and more convenient under all conditions. And finally, the brown color is pertty easy to detect in the woods; camouflage would be much better, but the "black" version of the Trophy Cam (e.g., hidden IR LED), is apparently not in camouflage paint. Altogether though, this camera takes great pictures during daylight hours, and acceptable ones under infrared conditions. I would not hesitate to recommend it, especially at the price ([$], Mar, 2012.)

The camera is everything I expected. Takes good color and infared black and whites. It was easy to set up. The camera is not equipted with a locking hasp. But I purchased a Bear safe that makes it almost impossible to tamper with or steal.

Comments about Bushnell Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Black):
Very good camera for the money. I bought two and now have ordered a third. Easy to set up and use. The videos are great, especially in daylight and the night videos are clear and interesting. I set up the cameras in the yard and experimented for two weeks before putting them out in the woods. The stills were not great - any movement at all by a subject results in slightly blurred images and both cameras behaved exactly the same. But the video is so much more interesting anyway as it captures behavior as well. Some nice beaver and rabbit pic so far - many more to come I'm sure. All in all a good buy for scouting and nature watching.

Comments about Bushnell Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Black):
A great camera trap for the cost. Easy to use, takes good photos. A great tool for cataloging wildlife in an area. Just remember that with the black night lights all night images will be in that night vision black and white look. This does not have a regular flash. I would like to see a future model have both regular flash and black light flash with a mode to choose between the two.

Comments about Bushnell Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Black):
This is a great trail camera. I have four trail cams, two of them are Stealthcam Prowler HD IR's, and two are these Bushnell Black Trophy cams. The two brands are very good and have different features and best applications. This Bushnell cam is really nice because of the black LED, which is invisible for practicle purposes, and the very fast shutter speed, making it my favorite. The way Bushnell implements time lapse photography is also very nice and better than another brand I had tried and no longer have. It would be nice if it could record temperature, but that is minor. Overall, this is a fantastic little cam.

Comments about Bushnell Trophy Cam Trail Camera (Black):
Pros;
This camera is setup to check my property for wildlife crossing through.
I have tried other less costly brands with little satisfaction. This unit rates better than the others in these ways;
1/4x20 screw hole for mounting
smaller size
no visible glow IR LEDs
more distance in IR night view
accepts 32GB cards
higher resolution video
more options for recording including motion sensor sensitivity, recording interval, NTSC vs PAL, adjustable resolution for still and video, longer battery life maybe due to higher battery capacity
The response time is quicker - it shoots sooner upon detection than others I have.
Images are clear
good solid construction
Cons;
menu buttons hard to see, but the little screen is OK.
menu a little bit tricky to operate for an old man

I ordered a Bushnell 119466C from B&H a couple months ago and I was so happy with their price, [...] I didn't hesitate to place a second order with them. I am very happy with the cameras I have ordered and B&H had the best pricing on the net.
