This is an exact replacement for the stand clamp which came with my EV ND386 microphone. I gave it 3 stars only because I wish it were a little beefier. Otherwise it functions perfectly

bhphotovideo[@]after much research had the best pricing and availability on the hard to find Electro Voice 311 microphone stand mount/clip. The competition was 25% to 35% higher for the same item provided they even had the item!If you have any high-end EV mics, chances are you will need to replace a lost or stolen 311 clip. Breaking one is next to impossible as they rate high for reliability and function among the expansive and innovative sound guru community.I love my 311's.. You will too! Happy Shopping! JM

In a good way, these hold 3/4" mics (the ones the same size as an XLR connector) snugly. They have a little strip of foam that shreds upon first use, but it's not needed to hold mics securely.

Comments about Electro-Voice 311 Microphone Stand Clamp (3/4"):
I don't know why AKG can't seem to design a high quality, robust mic clip -- they make such excellent microphones! Anyway, I've been using this clip for years with our 414's. They hold the mics very securely, and the angled design of the top part enables good flexibility in positioning without interfering with the XLR jack -- very handy design. It's not a shock mount, and so won't work for everyone.

I bought these as a replacement for my drum mics. Heavy duty and the lowest price that I could find.

I bought three EV 311's to use with my Altec Lansing M49 Studio Condenser mikes. The original Altec clips are not to be trusted, the EV's are much more robust and since they're a slide-in design, there's less chance of something bad happening to the mike

Ordered these to replace broken clips for my old Electro Voice N/D 308a's. They work perfectly, maybe better than the original which used to slip.

Comments about Electro-Voice 311 Microphone Stand Clamp (3/4"):
I bought a few 311's for my Electro-Voice 635A mic, as this appeared to be, based on B&H website, THE ONE. However, it differs from the original clamp in that barrel opening is smaller and mic has to be coaxed in. However, it will do. Beats hand-holding and duct tape!

I needed this for a very old EV dynamic mic (DS35) I have that I love on snare drums. It goes onto an LP mount that clamps to the bottom rim of a snare. This clip holds the mic tight, without any slipping with the vibrations of being physically bound to a snare drum. Other generic mic clamps/clips weren't doing the trick.
A necessary item for narrow-diameter mics.
