The Zeiss Aluminum 3-Section Tripod with 2-Way Fluid Head, from the company's Sports Optics division, was designed to hold spotting scopes – or, via a tripod adapter, binoculars. Featuiring a 2-way head with a fluid damping system, the tripod could also be very useful for supporting a small video camera. With its head, the aluminum tripod weighs 6.4 lb and supports loads up to 11 lb.
The tripod features lightweight aluminum legs that can be independently adjusted to help you set up properly on uneven terrain. The tripod can be set up at a minimum height of 20.5" all the way to a maximum height of 65.4". A rapid center column facilitates easy, fast height adjustments – to help you capture fleeting moments and spot fleeing creatures.
The head, which features a quick-release plate and a pan bar, tilts from -85 to +90° and pans a full 360°, with positive controls for both pan and tilt. The fluid damping system ensures smooth movements as you pan across your chosen vista.
A soft nylon carrying case with a hand and shoulder strap is included, as is a quick-release plate.
