The Vidpro Professional Photo & Video LED Light Kit provides required illumination for your video footage in any location. It includes a 96 LED Video Light, Adjustable Hot-Shoe / Tripod Mount, 3200K Tungsten Filter, 4200K Soft Diffuser, Li-ion Rechargeable Battery, European Adaptor, Battery Charger (110V-240V), Vertical Interlock Accessory, and a Foam Padded Hard Carry Case.
With 96 high intensity LEDs, the video light can offer bright illumination by producing a powerful light beam. Using the adjustable stepless dimmer, you can control the brightness in the range of 0-100%. You can select different color temperatures (5600-4200K-3200K) using filters. Featured magnetic mounting system allows quick and secure filter/diffuser usage.
Incorporating interlocking housing design, the video light supports creation of stackable multi-unit LED array. The video light supports HD Wide Angle (16:9) and Standard (4:3) signal formats. You can power the video light using 5 AA batteries, 7.2V Li-ion battery (Sony L Series), or an AC power supply.

I've had this light for over a month now and absolutely love it. I do event videography in bars/clubs and this thing makes my job so much easier. The variable light knob makes it easy to adjust. The knob does feel a little "plasticy" and cheap but hasn't affected it's performance.
I also use it as a fill light if I need to take photos during a film shoot.

The LED is light and easy to attach to your camera. you can use sony battery and AA batteries.
It has 2 filters which you can easily click onto the light. Unfortunately these take a lot of the light power away. IF you need a simple light which you can attach on your camera and works on batteries a LED light is a good alternative and this is the best in his class.

I have lighting equipment to conduct interviews but it is a lot of equipment to carry. This little led light, I can conduct unscheduled interviews on the fly without worrying where to set up or if I'm going to have enough light.
This is a must have kit for your video camera needs.

If you don't like to use flash and prefer to see what you are doing, this is fantastic set of lights. I bought two of them. It's cool that any number of them could be attached to each other, increasing the size of the light source, making them softer. I think if you had four of them, it would give bit of a box light affect, rather than umbrella's softness. I recently used it in Liberia where it would have been otherwise difficult to separate skin tone in some situations. Take a look at attached sample below, but keep in mind that I do not use this light as only source and always mix it with other available light.
I use them with LEE Filters Daylight to Tungsten (12 x 12"). It has a whole range of warm filters that are customizable. They are inexpensive, strong and work really well together.
Compare to cheaper lights, this one give more balanced output without any hot spot. I don't think it can get too much better than this. I would highly recommend this.

I've been using two of these lights for about six months. They put out plenty of light and the battery lasts for about two hours. I like the fact that they use a battery that is used in many Sony camcorders. One of these batteries is supplied with the light and spare batteries are widely available. The light also comes with a very convenient plastic case that has internal foam cut to fit the light, battery, charger, etc.
The light has a cold shoe fitting for mounting on a camera, and a threaded hole for mounting on a tripod.
However, although this LED light can also run on five AA batteries, I've not had much luck with rechargeables. My PowerEx rechargeable AA batteries cause the light to flash on and off rapidly, even when fully charged. The same thing happened when I tried a mains adapter that met the specifications printed on the light (correct voltage, correct polarity).
Still, I'm giving these lights five stars because, for my needs, they are great. I rarely use mine in situations where I would use mains power, and I would choose to use the Sony camcorder battery over AAs in any case.

I just got it for a wedding a to try it out and its fantastic for dark places. The white light works great with my canon 7d. Great for interviews in weddings (I mean spontaneous interviews) in dark places. Don't use this light outdoors, wont be help full. The battery life I think is 2 hours plus. Also I places AA batteries I recorded for 5 hours and I still have batteries life.

You get quite a punch from this light for the money. It's daylight balanced but it comes with separate CTO & Frost panels that attach magnetically. Multiple lights can be connected together. I've used them for interviews as a 45 degree key and a second unit as a 3/4 edge. Looks great!! And they give you a battery (rechargeable) and charger. Awesome.
The connector to the camera is a bit cheap and it'd been great if power camer from one unit when connected. That'd all add to the cost so I'll deal with the little complaints. More output than the popular panel lites.

I use this in my HXR-MC2000U Shoulder Mount Camcorder. It has plenty of light and the adjustment works great.
I like that there's two filters and they are easily added or removed with the magnet mounts.
I can use the same battery as my camcorder which makes it more convenient to manage.

This light kit is small and comes with two light defusers. For my needs (casting) this kit fits the bill. I am able to mount this light on my tripod next to my camera and the light is perfect for my subject. I can dim or brighten the light, use the included lithium battery or regular batteries. The case is also nice.

I am using this video light with my Oly E-P3. I needed a simple, portable light to place on a stand primarily to light interviews. Didn't want to use large lights, soft boxes and so on. I own Frezzi's and other lights, but this really fits the bill. Nice carrying case holding the light and the two filters that come with it plus AC charger. Quality of light is nice. I think it is a really good value.
