The Sandwich Adapter allows retrofitting other tripods and applications with the Touch & go quick release system. It eliminates the need to screw the camera to head and then having to unscrew it again. Also features a safety lock lever that prevents inadvertent disengagement of the camera latch.

We purchased two of these adapters/plates for use with our glide track and camera crane. Basically, this is Sachtler's version of the quick-release mount that allows you to pop the camera off of your Sachtler tripod head and pop it on an alternate camera support device such as a crane, glide track, steadicam, etc. without having to remove your plate and attach some other sort of mount or screw system. It's a bit expensive but does the trick with Sachtler quality and build. Fits our Video 18 and DV 12 camera plates.
