The "GT" in the Optoma GT750E Gaming Projector stands for "GameTime" and this projector has been engineered with one overriding idea: to be the best high definition projector in the world for playing PC, Mac and console games.
With 3000 ANSI lumens of brightness and an up to 3000:1 contrast ratio, this projector has more than enough projection power to project bright, vivid images when you can't achieve theater level darkness. And its WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution gives you that 16:10 aspect ratio for truly wide-screen games.
The Texas Instruments DLP Link 120Hz 3D-capable display technology is the heart (and brains) of the GT750E. The results are 3D games that seem to leap right off the screen at you. You'll have to pick out the 3D games you want and purchase 3D compatible glasses and you'll be enjoying the most realistic game play you've ever experienced.
As much as it was designed to be the best 3D gamer this projector was designed to move. It can handle all of the world's TV standards: NTSC, PAL and SECAM. In addition to being multi-standard it also has a 100-240 V AC 50/60 Hz auto-switching power supply and it supports various languages.

Comments about Optoma Technology GT750E Gaming Projector:
I waited for a long time to purchase a projector like this one. The combination of short-throw lens and 3D at 720p makes it perfect for what it was meant for... gaming! Out of all projectors, it's not the best, but for the price range and high quality, this is a steal!!! It even comes with a backpack ready go!
There are a few things that could've made this projector even better. I think some more time spent into its design would've been enough.
These are some highlight:
- First of all, you'll immediately notice that the remote control could have had less buttons. It's a good thing that the buttons are backlit, but the brightness is way too high for dark settings ironically making it difficult to look at.
- Although it consumes less that 1 Watt in standby mode, it easily eats up 200+ Watts in normal use. It also generates a lot of heat, so it is best to use it in a room with a good ventilation or A/C.
- Detecting the input signal takes a bit longer than the average projector and occasionally it goes into "AV Mute" mode automatically which is a bit annoying.
- The lens is PERFECT for small rooms, but similar projectors that I've used produce sharper images.
- Note that you can use either DLP-Link 3D glasses or VESA-connected 3D glasses (like the Optoma RF 3D glasses), but the later produces much better contrast and overall results.
- Don't be bothered by the fact that this projector is 720p instead of 1080p. Most games are 720p anyways. You'll be surprised at how good 720p looks on a big screen! Movies don't fall far behind either. I've seen better 3D on this projector than in many movie theatres... NOT KIDDING!
- Finally, the speaker's sound on this projector is really good!! I usually had to use a receiver in order to enjoy watching movies with previous projectors. With the GT750, there's no need to have a separate audio system, unless you love perfect sound.
