The XPS 17 X17L-782ELS 17.3" Laptop Computer (Elemental Silver) from Dell is a notebook computer designed to satisfy all your cravings for multimedia fun. Its 17.3" display features a resolution of 1600 x 900 and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. It is backlit by an energy-efficient LED lamp, and boasts Dell's TrueLife technology. Built-in support for Bluetooth peripherals and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi networks make it easy to stay connected -- without wires.

The system is powered by a quad-core 2.0GHz Intel Core i7-2630QM CPU, which can be overclocked to 2.9GHz via Turbo Boost. It is loaded with 8GB of RAM, dual 500GB SATA 7200rpm hard drives, a dedicated high-powered NVIDIA GeForce GT 550M GPU with 1GB of its own memory, and an 8x-speed DVD/CD burner. A 2MP webcam is integrated for online video chat, and the computer is protected from viruses thanks to a 30-day trial version of McAfee Security Center. Microsoft Office Starter 2010 is installed for productivity, and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
