The Samsung 8GB Galaxy Player 4" provides freedom and fun with Wi-Fi connectivity for instant access to games, music, videos and more. It features an 8GB flash memory with a MicroSD card slot that supports memory expansion up to 32GB. The 4" Super Clear LCD Multi-Touch display supports WVGA 800 x 480 resolution, as well as convenient multi-tasking. The Galaxy Player is enabled with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0 technology. It has FM radio, GPS, and front and back cameras. The lithium-ion battery supports up to 36 hours of audio playback or 5 hours of video playback. I had the Galaxy Player 4 for about 2 weeks, I enjoyed it very much. I am still learning about all the features, unfortunaley, the documentation is not that great. I read the entire User Guide, about 3 times, 133 pages, and couldn't find specific information about certain features.
The one that bothers me the most is: the 16 or 17 pins connector above the Samsung name, what is it for? the manual refers to it as the "Earpiece"
THIS IS NOT A PHONE, it has it's own speakers!!!!
If anyone has any information about this connector, I like to know, just curiosity.
Anyway, I like it very much, and I will figure out all those features, eventually.
I will recommend it.

Pretty nice product, the gps feature is great(you can download offlines maps and use it later) heard people complaining about the wifi connection problem: this only happen with belkin router.The pixels resolution is good and compare to a ipod 4th gen you can barely tell the difference.The only downside is the camera, it should come with a flash like on the 5 inch version.Note that on this version you can change the battery yourself.The device is pretty reactive and yeah it comes with a capacitive screen so figure this out by yourself its ideal for people who want the feature that come with a smartphone but don't want to pay for the monthly fees.I don't understand why Samsung advertise this as a player since it's so much more.

Very usefull device as a substitute for an ipod touch. Comes with android 2.3. Nice big Screen. Excellent external speakers, very loud. Expandable memory is very useful. Fast and preforms well, like a Samsung Galaxy S2 without a phone and contract. Wifi reciever is a bit weak and back cover feels slightly plasticy but otherwise a great product.

This product by Samsung is like a lot of thier stuff. It is extraordinary in every way. I was surprised at all it could do. The thing was amazing.
The only thing it couldn't do is what I wanted most out of it. I wanted it to be able to tune in an FM station and record from that station onto itself. But it couldn't do it, so I sent it back. I honestly can't say how amazed I was by how it could do so many different thing, and very well. I was totally impressed with it.

Using it as a replacement for an aging Palm Tungsten T3. This Android based can do a lot more than my old Palm since it is connected anywhere I can have a WI-FI connection. It is not possible to use a stylus and because of this, you need to get used to a new approach. Some of the included apps that were on the Palm are not as simple to use: the calendar needs improvements. There is no Notepad where the stylus could be used to quickly scrible notes on the go (may be there is an app somewhere but I did not find it yet). It is taking me some time to transfer documents (I had Documents To Go on the Palm for text and spreadsheets). But I love the new possibilities, it is much more like having your computer and a camera in your pocket all the time. I installed a few quite nice apps: a "radio" app allowing to get Internet Radio (I love to lesson to live French radio...), RealCalc, a superb scientific calculator with standard and RPN modes, Book Catalog to make a database of our books, Google Sky Map to learn about planets and constellations. And it so easy to search the Internet for any word or question.

The player just works. Nothing is greater than a smart phone but it comes without the monthly fee. I can manage my music without the cursed itunes controlling everything. Skype works awesome, you just use it like a phone or set it on the table for video mode. I can check email, weather surf the net without booting up my laptop. I wish more manufacturers especially RIM would come out with a competing product(small Playbook).

Superb mini finish tablet treatment. Fast and accurate touch screen and very bright. Battery life is a low intensive use. good sound quality, but the bass are a small can.
