More accurately, it should be called a "thicker grip" than the standard one, and the grip area is smaller. Another difference is that the material is more like a rubber (the standard one is hard plastic).

The only downer is that it wasn't included in the first place. The original that came with the camera is honestly worthless compared to this. Not sure why this wasn't the original.

This should be the grip included with the E-P3. Makes single handed photography easier and heavier lenses more manageable.

I have relatively large hands, and I appreciate the extra grip area vs the included slim grip. The large grip doesn't significantly alter the profile or feel of the camera...just makes it easier to hold. I have mixed feelings about the material, though. I like the feel of the original grip. Overall a worthy upgrade.

I have small hands, but I needed a larger grip, especially with the 14-150 lens. Easy to install. Great purchase although a little pricey considering the initial cost of the camera. I wish Oly would include it in the original box! Oh,yes, the material is not the same as the original grip. It doesn't look quite as "classy" but it is still very functional.

I love the pen system, but I just hate the fact that it didn't fit into my hand! This product is just what I needed to make this camera better for my needs.. If you own a pen and have the same problem this will fix it..

I can't imagine using the PEN E-P3 without a grip. But I found the one included with the kit to be too small to provide the secure grip I wanted. This large grip is just what I was looking for. It takes a second to install and probably less than a minute to appreciate how it enhances the ergonomics (at least for my medium sized male hands). I would have given this 5 stars but I think it is ridiculous to pay so much for an accessory that should have been included in the first place. That said, B&H had the best price and I am really glad I ordered this. It makes a great camera perfect.

Simple device, not inexpensive but for someone like me with large hands, I find it much more comfortable to hold the E-P3. I'm glad I made the purchase

This grip makes a huge difference. I found the EP3 to be a great camera, but the grip was pretty bad on any lens larger than a small pancake lens. Added this on and now the grip is similar to the grip on a EPL-2, but better. I highly recommend this as a near mandatory accessory with the camera, it is well worth it unless you have very small hands, or hold your camera with your fingertips like a point and shoot.

I love my new Olympus E-P3. It's a beautiful camera and fun to use. OK, the menu system is prettier to look at (on the gorgeous OLED screen), but could still be more user friendly. The grip that comes with the E-P3 is OK, but not too substantial. The optional large grip is much better (at least for me). It let's me hold the E-P 3 with one hand without worrying. It also makes the E-P3 more comfortable to hold when using longer lenses (panasonic 45-200 for example). Wish it was included with the E-P3 package (that's why I gave it only 4 stars), but it's definitely worth the money to upgrade.

Nicely designed and very easy to attach. This grip is significantly larger than the one that came with the E-P3, and makes it much easier to hold the camera securely and steadily, at least with my hands, which are otherwise a little too large for the camera.

Sure, a [$] piece of plastic but it is worth every penny! Enables an extremely firm grip on the E-P3. The design is form fitting to my fingers and feels great. A small but extremely useful addition.
