The Native Instruments MASCHINE MIKRO Groove Production Studio is a tactile controller and software package for groove sequencing and drum programming on a Mac or Windows OS. MASCHINE MIKRO is very much like NI's flagship MASCHINE, with a more compact and portable USB powered hardware controller and streamlined sequencing software. Run MASCHINE MIKRO as a plug-in within a host DAW software, route up to 16 discrete output channels into the host's mixer and sequence grooves using NI's XOX or classic MPC sequencer modes.

The controller is more compact, features a single black and white LCD display and is USB 2.0 powered, allowing producers, musicians and DJs to take MASCHINE MIKRO virtually anywhere. MASCHINE MIKRO includes a 6GB library of drum sounds, effect sounds, loops and much more. Its built-in sampler records from internal and external sound sources, and vintage sampling modes mimic the sound of classic groove-based drum samplers such as the Akai MPC60 and EMU SP1200.

In addition to all this, Native Instruments MASCHINE MIKRO features built-in effects and support for third-party plug-ins in Audio Units and VST formats. MASCHINE MIKRO will run on both Windows and Mac OS, putting powerful groove sequencing in the hands of producers, musicians, remixers and DJs in the studio and on stage.
