The Good: Excellent quality export. Great layout for to shorten and cut several video clips. Nice font choices/transitions/effects. The pan and zoom feature is very nice.Noise reduction for audio works great. Interface is easy to learn, plus Adobe TV makes tons of tutorials. More stable then other editors I have used. Get some great tools at a good price.
The Bad: Had technical difficulties with adding text on video. The program would freeze for literal 10-15 minutes. Called support, had to go into program files and rename a folder to fix. I found strange as it was a clean 64bit install on a new Win 7 install. My hardware is more than adequate with 8 gb ram, 1 gb vid card, 64 bit Win7 Pro OS. Some lag occurs still when trying add text but not as bad as before the call to support.
Conclusion: Would buy it again. Better than most editors out there.

Installation on my iMac (Intel) was a multi-hour problem. I spent 3 hours (yes, three!) with Adobe support and still could not install the program. One of the fixes that partially worked was to change my system clock to a specific November 2011 date! Then it worked, but crashed after that. Adobe said they would call me back, and never did. I called in he next day and a different support person was able to get it running within about 1/2 hour. It took a combination of changing my system clock to that same date and re-booting the computer before beginning installation. This entire process was extremely frustrating. The program now seems to work OK.

Comments about Adobe Premiere Elements 10 for Mac & Windows:
I use it to edit HD video from my Canon DSLR camera, this is an excellent program to start with video production and editing for under $100.
If you are looking to edit your home movies, at a non pro level, you will be more than happy to see all the options and effects you can use, and its very user friendly.

I thougt this would be my dream software, but it turns out not to be the case. Other editing software seemed easier to use and did what you expected. I am having no luck with it, but if I did it seems it would be a sweet tool. I can't recommend much on it until I fiqure it out.

It is a very rich feature set for the price. Lots of nice editing features. Some things could be improved but for the price I really couldn't expect more.

Comments about Adobe Premiere Elements 10 for Mac & Windows:
I bought Photoshop 9 from B&H and upgraded to 10 through Adobe adding Premiere 10. With Windows 7 64 on Intel i52500K with 8 gigs ram rendering is unbelievably fast - almost real time. The AVCHD on 4.7 discs is excellent. I did a 55 min. trial with no menu or titles on 4.7 with great HD. The problem is that the menu editor does not support templates in HD resolution so they are distorted and cut off in 720 and just SD in 1080. Adobe confirms this and I'm trying to get them to provide some generic solution so that one could at least make custom menus in HD. That, I believe is the least they owe their clientele.

Very full set of features and reasonably priced. Intuitive interface and a good set of video tutorials are on Adobe's website. Definitely allows me to produce professional looking nature videos. And of course, B&H prices and service are always the best.
