The N55SF-RH71 15.6" Notebook Computer (Black) from ASUS is a 15.6" notebook computer that is perfect for day-to-day use. The computer features an enhanced Bang & Olufsen ICEpower audio system, which is powered by ASUS SonicMaster technology. Graphics are handled by an nVIDIA GeForce GT 555M graphics card with 2GB of dedicated memory.
The computer features two USB 3.0 ports, which are up to ten times faster than USB 2.0. It allows you to use the latest external storage devices that support the USB 3.0 protocol, without having to add an expansion card.

Good size for portability while having a Full HD screen for watching BluRay movies or for the extra desktop real estate for working on large spreadsheets or development. The keyboard takes a while to get used to as the keys are not as responsive as other designs, but it doesn't really bother me because most of the time I use it with an external monitor (extended mode) and external keyboard and mouse. I only need to type on the built-in keyboard when on the move.

Great laptop for the price. Comes with this plug in bass thing that makes the speakers amazing. Only real drawback I've noticed is battery, but its along par with all the other laptops in its catagory.

Love this laptop so far, works smoothly with adobe premiere editing HD dslr footage and after effects runs very good. Similar spec MAC would be at least double the price. Have had no issues so far. Looks sleek outside and doesn't come full of unnecessary software either. Great laptop for the price its listed at.

This was $200 less on BH than other sites. This had everything I want(except backlit keyboard) on a high end laptop that would still be cutting edge in 2 years. The offset keyboard with traditional keys takes a little getting used to - coming from a chicklet keyboard without the numeric pad. You have to sit to the left of center. It would be better if they dumped the keypad. I am having a weird touchpad thing - where the cursor jumps the right occasionally. Not sure if I am touching something or if there is a fix.
I am moving up from 4lbs to almost 7lbs - but it doesn't feel that heavy. The brick is massive and the bass speaker is nice, but I would not want to carry both around. However, I rarely tote my laptop around like I used to.
Boot up is not as fast as I thought it would be. I will probably drop an SSD into it later. Otherwise it is fast at launching programs and desktop search. Video editing is really fast. I can have video or music going - along with 3 browsers and 20 tabs open and the I7 doesn't even sweat it - never going over 50% CPU or 4G of RAM. The ASUS never gets hot on the bottom and occasionally you can feel luke warm air coming out the side. You can never hear the fan.
The sound is good...but not great. You can crank it up and it never distorts, however it is not super loud. I put SRS on my old laptop and loved the surround sound - it sounded bigger than the laptop. I installed it on the ASUS, but the bass module does not work with it - which is a shame.
I am getting used to the higher resolution screen and sizing the text properly. Some programs, like Skype and Gmail won't go larger than 5pt without constant resizing. I already had MS Office, but if you don't the starter version that comes with the computer would suffice for Word and Excel. By the way, the Webroot security they send with the laptop happens to be a highly rated AV. It is really fast and doesn't tax the system at all.
So far, I am very happy with my purchase.

If you need a portable powerful machine this one be the one to go for! Great price, speed, display and feel.
The draw back though, would be that the keyboard has too many buttons and sometimes you click the wrong one because the space provide is small.

I do some amateur but HD video editing for fishing clubs and more, and have been looking for a laptop that had i7, two USB 3 ports, full HD display, 7200 rpm hard drive, and at least 2GB graphics. This machine is it!
The display is beautiful! Sound is incredible. It does not boot quite as quickly as I expected, but not bad.
If you want to watch blue rays on a laptop with gr8 sound this is it. Very happy so far!

I use this whenever I need to be mobile but need serious computing power for the design software I use. The USB ports are great for file transfer and the speakers are great for music and movies alike. I do wish the keyboard were more standardized as its hard to go from a regular keyboard to my laptop and back and I do wish you could get all of these specifications with a 14" screen and a smaller power converter box for when its plugged into an outlet. This would make taking it on the go a lot easier.

A very fast laptop with an outstanding monitor, lots of RAM and plenty of hard drive space. It is very lightweight for the amount of computing power it provides. It runs very quiet and stays very cool, even when I'm really making it work. The battery will run over three hours of continuous use. I feel this is great for the power of this machine. The listing said it was Windows 7 Home Premium, but it came with Windows 7 Professional installed (yay!). There is some bloatware, but not nearly as much as I expected.

This my third Asus laptop and have been very happy with all of them. The B&O speakers sound impressive, weight and size is average and battery life is reasonable. I feel it is a great value/performance. Wish list, backlit keyboard and updated power connection (magnetic would be nice!). Keyboard takes getting use to. I'm a light gamer, some CAD and do some multitrack audio editing. I was very happy to see B&H not only sell the unit, but have it in stock!
