HP h9-1180 Overview

The Hewlett Packard Pavilion HPE h9-1180 Phoenix Desktop Computer is a power-packed work station that fits into almost any situation. Its quad core Intel Core 17 3770 chipset will show off blazing computational speed, and the hefty 12GB of Ram and spacious 2TB SATA hard drive combine to make this one of the most attractive desktops around.

Other features include 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 4 x USB 2.0 ports, S/PDIF and DVI-I:1 and DVI-D:1 connectors on the back, 4 x USB 2.0 ports on the top, and 2 x USB 3.0 connectors on the front. The Super Multi Blu-ray Player drive allows you to read Blu-rays, and read/write to DVD and CD. There's also a 15-in-1 multimedia card reader that reads SD, mini-SD, SDHC, MMC 4.0, RS MMC 4.0, memory stick, Magic Gate/Pro Duo/MS/MS Pro, and older cards like compact flash.

The graphics are supported through the Eyefinity AMD Radeon 5770 card with 2GB of DDR5 onboard memory, which can output HDMI along with DVI. The double-wide card uses a PCI Express x16 slot, and boasts HDMI display resolution of 1920x1080, and DVI resolution of 2560 x 1600 x32bpp at 60Hz. Analog VGA resolution (with adapter) is 2048 x 1536 x 32bpp at 60Hz. It can support up to 3 displays at a time.

The sound is handled through the integrated IDT 92HD73E Audio card, which supports Beats Audio. All networking is done through either the wireless 802.11 b/g/n PCI-E mini card, or the LAN 1000-Base-T Ethernet port.

The HP Pavilion HPE h9-1180 Phoenix Desktop Computer definitely gives you lots of bang for your buck, and after getting the right monitor (optional) it comes loaded with everything you need right out of the box.

Software Sweet
The Included software has something for everyone, from the installed Windows 7 Home Premium for 64-bit systems, to Norton Internet Security 2012, HP Games and Microsoft Office Starter.
Intense Graphics
2GB of GDDR5 memory will ensure that your graphics are crisp and clear, and that you take full advantage of the 2560 x 1600 x 32bpp at 60Hz DVI output.
