This PAL region HC-V700ME 16GB Full HD Camcorder from Panasonic captures 1920x1080 video and features a 21x optical zoom range with a 35mm equivalent focal length of 28mm on the wide end, and a High Sensitivity Sensor for improved low-light performance. The 28mm wide-angle lens is ideal for recording indoors or in tight spaces, especially when fitting both the subject and surrounding area into the frame. The wide-angle lens also lets you capture wide landscapes and fit large groups of people into the frame.
Featuring 16GB of built-in memory, the HC-V700Me lets you record HD video internally to the camera itself. You can also record on a SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card up to 64GB in size. The HC-V700M can convert 2D images recorded by the user into 3D images and it can also record 3D images using an optional 3D conversion lens. It also features an Intelligent Auto (iA) Mode with face recognition, a Hybrid O.I.S. with five-axis correction for stabilized shots, and can capture still photos up to 6.1 megapixels. You can simultaneously record still images and video at 5.8 megapixels.

28mm Wide-Angle Lens
The 28mm wide-angle lens is especially convenient for recording indoors or in tight spaces, making it possible to shoot at a close distance from the subject while fitting both the subject and surrounding area into the frame. The High Sensitivity Sensor, coupled with O.I.S., makes it possible to record beautiful images in very dim light. The wide-angle setting also captures beautiful images of wide landscapes and allows large groups of people to fit into the frame, making it highly versatile for use in all kinds of situations.
21x Optical Zoom
The HC-V700ME features a 21x optical zoom to catch dynamic shots of distant objects with the long telephoto end of the zoom range. By using the Intelligent Zoom feature, you can capture images beyond the ordinary 21x optical zoom, and all the way up to 46x.
Hybrid O.I.S. + (Optical Image Stabilizer)
Hybrid O.I.S. + is a high-quality optical hand-shake compensation function that suppresses blurring across the entire zoom range, resulting in crisper shots even while you are walking or shooting handheld zoom shots with high magnification. Because it's an optical system, there's no image degradation; original image quality captured by the lens remains intact, all the way from wide-angle to the longest telephoto zoom.
Still Picture Recording
Capture still photos with a maximum resolution of 6.1 megapixels. You can simultaneously record still images and video at 5.8 megapixels. A high-speed burst mode lets you take up to 50 consecutive 2.1-megapixel images per second, for about 3 seconds.
iA (Intelligent Auto)
iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode with Face Recognition selects the most suitable shooting mode with the press of a button. Face Recognition finds the faces of registered people (up to six faces) and optimizes the focus and exposure for them. The camcorder continues to track this subject as the person moves anywhere within the frame.
Zoom Mic and Wind Noise Canceller
The Zoom Mic function links the microphone to the lens action. When you zoom in on a subject, the microphones focus on the sound in that same direction. By suppressing the noise on both sides of the camera, its performance improves by 3 dB. The Wind Noise Canceller automatically detects and suppresses wind noise. It lets you capture natural sounds with lifelike ambience even when shooting in windy conditions.
Advanced Highlight Playback Function
The Advanced Highlight Playback Function is designed for users who want to view recorded images as quickly as possible. This feature uses the I.I.S. (Intelligent Index System) to detect zooming, panning, scene changes, and faces in recorded images as "highlights." It then automatically plays back the detected highlight scenes, or ones that the user has personally selected. It also offers playback effects such as Slow, Fading Still Image, and Flash Playback.
Eco-Mode
Automatically turns off the power when the camcorder is not operated for five minutes, reducing wasteful energy use and saving battery power.
Intuitive Touchscreen Operation with a Wide 3.0" LCD
