Specifically designed for children, the Archos 4GB Child Pad is a 7" tablet that features the innovative Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It's highlighted by a lightweight and compact design, as well as a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM memory. Plus, for storing your child's favorite apps and media, the tablet is equipped with 4GB of flash storage capacity.
Apart from the durable design, it's what's on the inside that makes this tablet truly kid-friendly. The Child Pad includes access to the Kids App Store, which is powered by AppsLib. It works by filtering out all but 14 kid-friendly app categories. This still leaves over 10,000 apps to choose from including games, entertainment, communication, multimedia, books, comics, sports and more. Other features include a user-friendly interface with colored icons, home screen folders and the top 20 kids' apps, which are already preloaded onto the tablet. These apps include Angry Birds, Pig Rush and Flight Frenzy.
To ensure child safety, Archos designed the Child Pad to comply with CIPA and COPPA regulations. This ensures that the tablet provides a safe learning and playing environment for children. However, for added safety, the Child Pad also features parental controls and safe web browsing, which is powered by a one-year free trial from Editions Profil. They use a "Mobile Parental Filter" that is ranked as the most efficient parental control software available. All this adds up to a safe and fun tablet for your youngsters to enjoy.
