These are very good lens. However I am giving 4 stars as I am having problem with focusing with +4 lens. Used them only once so not sure if my camera was to close (I have Nikon 5000 with 55-200 lens) so it could be my lens or something else (not really sure). Probably need to play with this little bit more. on other hand +1 size, +2 size and +3 (when you combine two of them) are really awesome, producing incredible pictures (like those seeing in magazines or galleries). They are really worth the money and they are very good quality wise. So with all of this, would I buy them again. Absolutely yes.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Close-up Kit (+1,+2,+4) Lens:
I use this with my Nikon D7000, and a 50mm or 28mm lens. They have very crisp images and I like that you can change the magnification by adding another lens. I'm glad it comes with a case for the lenses. Your f-stop will drop slightly with each additional lens, not too much though, a small bump up of the iso can correct it.

Have a 52mm diameter lens? Want to turn it into a macro? Put these filters on it and get in close. If you stack the filters, you can literally focus right on top of the object you're focussing on. You can create some very interesting effects doing this.
Comments about Hoya 52mm Close-up Kit (+1,+2,+4) Lens:
A cheap alternative to anyone wanting to try macro photography and video. these lenses allow for extreme closeups and work great with my canon 50mm 1.8 lens. Although something like a tiny bug will not fill up the whole frame, a 25 cent coin will.

Great way to see if you like Macro photography w/o the cost of a macro lens. The set of three lens gives you options. The +4 give sharp and crisp detail.

I highly recommend purchasing this filter. I didnt feel like dishing out $800 for the nikon 105mm macro since I will only use this mainly for ring shots.
I have used it a couple times now and I am very satisfied with the results with no loss of quality in my images.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Close-up Kit (+1,+2,+4) Lens:
I found this close-up filter set was exactly what I was looking for, ie., an inexpensive way to try out macro photography. For the first timers, it might take you sometime to really getting the hang of using these. I used them in stacks with +4,+2, and +1 combination with the +4 nearest the lens. The very shallow dof does require use of a tripod if all three filters are stacked. And its best to shoot under direct sunlight in the day. The more light the better. A great addition to someone who wants to try his/her hand at macro photography while spending cheap bucks.

I got this for use in a promo video for a jeweler. I use it on a 50mm 1.8 Canon lens. This thing works wonderful!
Most of the time i have all of the macros on the lens for the most magnification.

I am a luthier (one who builds and repairs guitars) and need to take close-up shots of guitar damage and parts, for documentation and ordering purposes. With my Nikon D3000, I was limited to 4 ft close-ups. With the +2 and +4 screw-in lenses, I was able to take close-ups of 18 inches and secure a respectable image size. Even after enlarging to 8" X 10", the images were sharp and clear... easy for my suppliers to identify.
In addition, I am able to take clear close-ups for 'before and after' shots of work performed, so I have a record of the results. It also guarantees that a false claim about an instrument's condition cannot be made by an unscrupulous customer.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Close-up Kit (+1,+2,+4) Lens:
I got the Nikon D40X camera from B&H for my Jewelry product shoot. I tried to get closer on the detail of my product. However, the lens came with the kit can not focus correct once I get too close. I was not plan to buy a macro lens at this time. I took a chance try out this close up filter. The result was good. I was impressed on how close and clear image I can get just place the 4X close up filter on the standard 18mm-55mm Nikon lens. You can stack all three to get you the 7X close up however you do notice clarity on the photo has decreased.
Problems Encountered: After you stack all 3 together the flash light on the Camera can not reach the product. You will have a shadow at the bottom of your photo with image of your lens. You will need to use light kit for the close up product shot to avoid the shadow.
