For me play free characteristics are key, they deliver what they claim. First I bought a cheap one, but could not use it with anamorphic adapters because the lense slightly turned with movement. This adapter works perfectly.

Does the adapter mount on the camera body so the lens mount doesn't have to be changed, or does the lens mount have to be mechanically chafed for the mount?Most mounts require changing the lens mount which is a P.I.A. when I want to shoot film in my Leica R8.Thank you. If you carry a mount for a Canon digital (even an EOS) which changes the mount on the Canon so I don't have to tinker with my Leica R lenses, I would be very interested.

The adapter goes on the camera first so you can leave it on and just switch out the lens.Some adapters are the other way around but usually those are with the very thin adapters.The Canon camera to Leica R lens adapters are thin and you need to put the adapter on the lens and then the camera. Will this adapter work on a X-Pro 2 as well? ...

Will this adapter work on a X-Pro 2 as well? Also, will the factor be x1,6 in this case? I'm thinking of buying a Leica R 35mm f2,8, which I guess would then be a 56mm. Last question: would this combo actually be better than my existing Fujinon XF56mmF1.2 R?

Yes, the Novoflex Adapter for Leica R Mount Lenses to Fujifilm X Mount Digital Cameras, B&H # NOFUXLER, should allow you to connect the Leica Elmarit-R 35mm f/2.8 lens onto the X-mount on the Fujifilm X-Pro2 Mirrorless Digital Camera. The Fujifilm X-Pro2 uses the APS-C sensor, so all lenses used on the X-Pro2 will have a 1.5x crop factor when compared to the angle of view of a lens used on a full-frame camera. As such, the 35mm lens would have the equivalent angle of view of a 52.5mm lens on a full-frame camera. I have not seen a comparison between the Leica Elmarit-R 35mm f/2.8 lens and the FUJIFILM XF 56mm f/1.2 R Lens. However, as the Fujifilm XF 56mm f/1.2 R lens would be the equivalent of an 84mm lens used on a full-frame camera, so the lenses would not have similar angles of view and would not be directly compared to each other.
