The PX-5 pair from Fostex are 2-way active monitor speakers that are designed for accurate sound reproduction for your professional or home studio. They are equipped with 5.2" woofers and 1" tweeters that are powered by digitally controlled 35W and 18W power amplifiers, respectively. The speakers utilize an FIR type (finite impulse response) "Digital Network Filter" that is designed to ensure a linear phase frequency response.
In addition to being designed for sonic accuracy, the PX-5s have been built with versatility features in mind that allow you to adjust the speakers to compensate for shortcomings in your acoustic space. Each speaker includes a 0.3db step tweeter level control, an incremental low frequency roll off adjustment and an overall level control.
