Archos establishes itself in the tablet marketplace with the 80 Platinum 8" IPS tablet. This full-featured tablet includes amenities like a powerful 1.2 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A9 processor, 1GB of DDR3 RAM and an 8" capacitive multitouch display. The 1024 x 768 resolution 4:3 ratio IPS display ensures wider viewing angles and less glare when outside, and the 5-point multitouch will help to make all those Android apps more fun to tinker with. The display is powered by an eight-core PowerVR SGX 544 graphics processor.
This tablet handles a variety of formats for a smoother digital experience. It supports AVI, MP4, MOV, 3GP, MPG, PS, TS, MKV, and FLV and playback in the h.264 HD or MPEG-4 HD (both up to 1080p at 30 fps). Fir audio, it can handle MP3, WAV (PCM/ADPCM), AAC3, AAC+ 5.13, OGG Vorbis and FLAC formats, and for photos you can view JPEG, BMP, PNG or GIF files.
