These classic telescopes feature a straight optical path, like a camera lens, presenting colors accurately with relatively flat fields of view. Refractors are easy to use and maintain and are great for observing celestial bodies and astrophotography.

These telescopes use a large mirror to reflect the image back toward a secondary mirror and then to an eyepiece (just like the famous Hubble Space Telescope). Reflectors allow for larger apertures that are great for deep-sky viewing.
