When capturing this image, I was apprehensive about putting the subject in the direct middle, but I believe that it is powerful enough to do so. The image was taken in a graveyard and to me it shows an image of power over death with the life of a tree. I used Adobe Lightroom to edit. I payed close attention to shadows and highlights, and used the graduated filters in some spots bring out highlights as well as town down bright areas. I made sure I payed close attention to not over sharpening areas and to make the natural textures shine through.
