Sony's 50mm f/1.4 GM is a fast, lightweight prime with a versatile focal length. Powered by a pair of XD linear motors, focusing is fast and accurate for still and video capture. One extra-low dispersion (XD) and two extreme aspherical (XA) elements minimize aberrations and other distortions to ensure sharp, accurate image capture. On-lens controls include a de-clickable aperture ring with iris lock, two customizable focus hold buttons, and an AF/MF switch.
Applications: This is a compact take on a classic prime, well suited for photo and video work on a wide range of genres including portraiture, food, travel, and events.
