Have Three Of These Bags. Designed A Working Photographer For Working Photographers. Can Hold Two Camera Bodies And 6 Lenses Plus Extra Equipment. Use One For My Old Film Cameras. Another For My DSLR Cameras And The Newest For My Mirrorless Cameras. Lots Of Pockets For Media, Drives, Extra Batteries, Etc.

Would it be practical to lay a 17-inch (folded) tripod across the top, underneath the hand straps while carrying the bag by the shoulder straps?

It may be a risk of damaging your gear if the tripod is under the hand straps and the top flap.

The Domke F-2 Original Shoulder Bag Limited Edition Ripstop Nylon (Black) has six padded adjustable compartments and a removeable padded bottom. The side interiors are not padded.

Can anyone suggest a light travel cart that would work with a full F2 (including side pockets)? Had recent shoulder surgery and can’t carry yet this is still one of the best camera cases for working on location.

Looking at F2 Rugged and the nylon version. Do either come with any type of cover or is one more rain resistant than the other?

The F2 (canvas) lets very little water in—cotton canvas shrinks when wet and becomes much more watertight than ballistic nylon. I have never cut or torn an F2. I bought my first F2 in 1980 and my last (so far) in 2022.
