Profoto Acute 2R 2400W/s 2 Head Pro Value Pack with Case (90-260V)
The new Acute 2R 2400W/s power pack is identical to the Profoto Acute 2 2400, with the addition of a built-in PocketWizard Brand Digital Radio Slave, to provide freedom from sync cords.
The Acute 2 modular flash head design features a circular, heavy duty, quartz flash tube and UV coated protection dome that surrounds both the flash tube and the 250W modeling light. It provides even, consistent illumination. The modeling lights for the flash heads are readily available in a variety of voltages for use all over the world. There are optional domes that are more heavily coated, for a warming effect of the light output.
This 3 head 2400 w/s kit includes zoom reflectors, which slide along the flash head, altering the beam spread of the light output. Included for protection of the equipment, is a Tenba brand travel case, which can stand the rigors of airline shipping.
Add light stands, umbrellas, and softboxes of your choice to complete this lighting kit.

I have used various strobes, including Balcar, Broncolor, Visatec, White Lightning, Elinchrome, Speedotron, etc...Profoto's are the best. The price is high, but they do what they are supposed to, over and over and over. The light is awesome and very consistant over the full range of the powers settings. The design of the reflector and accessories, and how they attach to the heads is the best of any strobe hands down. Their customer service is super professional with extremely fast turnaround on repairs (all of which were my fault). These strobes are an investment, if you are serious than this is the only way to go. The built in pocket wizard feature is also totally cool.Broncolors are about the same price, maybe a bit more, but after working in a NYC studio that owned lots of Broncolor and Profoto packs, the Broncolors were always out for repair. The Profotos just plugged inwent to work.
Problems Encountered: None, I have had to repair a few bulbs and pyrex's, but that was because of nervous assistants and sometimes me. They are expensive, so try not to break them.
Previous Equivalent Items Owned: Elinchrome monos.
Items I Recommend: Profoto 600/ws mono heads, the largest softbox you can afford, extension cords for the heads.
