This compact, lightweight ballhead is ideal for any point-and-shoot digital or film camera. The head features an easy to use single-lever release that locks the camera into place with one single action. Differing itself from many inexpensive ball heads on the market, the base of this head can rotate in addition to the ball movement. This makes horizontal movement of the camera much faster and easier.

Comments about Slik SBH-60 Compact Ballhead 60:
This head was used on top of a small slik tripod for a point and shoot camera. If I'd realized how small it is, I'd probably get the next size up, but it works very well. The way you attach it to the camera and the way you adjust its orientation are both very easy to use. I prefer t his over the bulkier ballheads with handles, unless you're shooting video.

Comments about Slik SBH-60 Compact Ballhead 60:
I film Hockey games for my three grandsons and my monopod was useless because I need to tilt the camera when there is action in front of me. This thing works like a charm. I saw some complaints that it was not smooth action - but you just need to add a little oil and adjust the tension on the ball and it is smooth as can be.

Simple mount design, easy to use, great quality product. It is surprisingly heavy which gives it a more expensive feel (some may list this as a con, but the weight is not a concern for me).

Comments about Slik SBH-60 Compact Ballhead 60:
I use this ballhead in combination with an inexpensive tripod to mount a Plamp articulated arm for steadying plants for macrophotography. Works great. It feels like it could actually hold considerably more load than its rating suggests. It's able to pan, but not in a way that would be useful in panorama photography, as only one clamp lever locks/unlocks the ball and the panning rotation simultaneously.
