In would actually give this product 5 stars except that the last pole section stretches on the internal XLR cable, so I wouldn't remcommend extending the pole past that point. I haven't used it yet on a set, but I can say that it does what I bought it for: It's LONG. Really long. It's lightweight, but not cheaply made. It is sturdy machined and acidified aluminum and I am quite happy with it. (So long as it works!)

what, no adapter?
These guys should know where there products are going and should ship with the adapter for U.S. mic clips and baskets.Luckily I had a drum clip that I could take an adapter from.

This is a great product and I will be getting another one. It is great to not have to worry about the outside XLR cable. This boom pole will be used in music video productions, promotional videos, and training videos for 747 Productions.

Comments about K-Tek KE-110CCR Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole with Internal Coiled XLR Cable:
This is an exceptional boompole for the price! It is very lightweight and sturdy and the internal cabling is a must for me. It extends to a great length of 9'2" even though I would prefer a longer length. Also the right angle connector on the bottom is fantastic for resting between takes without hurting the xlr connector! My only compliant would be that the internal cabling makes some noise while moving the pole back and forth when fully or almost fully extended. Also the last section is very "springy" when extended and has a tendency to fly back when releasing the section lock ring. I would just say be careful when extending and releasing the last section of the pole. Besides that this is a very good overall entry level boompole with great features and a good length.

Comments about K-Tek KE-110CCR Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole with Internal Coiled XLR Cable:
I use this product in professional "on-location" audio recording for film / video. The Boom pole is well built, and supports my Sennheiser 815 long shotgun mic without slippage or wire noise. The design is excellent with the side out XLR connection.

Comments about K-Tek KE-110CCR Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole with Internal Coiled XLR Cable:
I purchased this boompole for on-location sound recording during video productions. Originally, I was concerned about its weight but it hasn't been an issue. The coiled cable has not caused any problems lengthening or retracting the segments. This product is easy to use and seems to be durable.

The pole is solid and handles easily. The tightening selves work pretty well. You can hear the coiled XLR cable inside when you mov the pole. For the money it's not a bad pole.

I love it. This is the best feeling boom I've ever owned.
Solid. Love that the xlr is on the side so I can put it down on the end between takes. It's not the carbon fiber so it's not as light but you can't beat the performance for the money. A++

Comments about K-Tek KE-110CCR Avalon Series Aluminum Boompole with Internal Coiled XLR Cable:
I bought this boom for a film I am working on, and it has been a great tool for me. Light weight, internally cabled so you save on time and cable length, and the right angle on the bottom saves your cable when setting it down between takes. Do yourself a favor, buy it. It is worth the price!
