Comments about Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Kit (Black):
I have been using it to get photos of wildlife and the moon. The tripod is quick to set up, and I love the bubble level on it. The weight is ok too. I purchased it in NYC and carried it around the whole day and it wasn't to heavy. The quick release for the camera is great and the ball head is so easy to use. A few turns of the knob and I am ready to go.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Kit (Black):
This is a great kit deal that gives me the flexibility I need to go out to shoot. The 190XPROB is sturdy, and I can shoot it with the comfort of mind knowing my gear isn't just going to randomly fall over. Adding the ballhead gives me an excellent flexibility to compose my shots exactly as I see fit, and the carrying case is just what I need for hands-free transport. Though it's not the lightest tripod set available - it's not made of carbon fibers - I'm very, very happy with the price-to-performance ratio and would highly recommend this item to anyone who doesn't mind having carrying a tad bit of weight.
Comments about Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Kit (Black):
I use this tripod mostly with a DSLR for night shots and with a binocular (10x50, porro) for night and day spotting.
So far its bolts are still as tight as they were when bought 2 years ago and haven't demanded any adjustment.
It's very stable and given it's quality the price is more than fair.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Kit (Black):
I purchased the 190XPROB tripod and the packaged ball head offered here, separately, about three years ago. I've taken it a lot of places, and is great for carrying on hikes and into events where one would need to be mobile. It's relatively small when collapsed, and is fairly light weight. It is an aluminum tripod, so it's not as feather-light as a carbon fiber one, but it's good anyways. The only down side to it is that since it is light weight, it can't reliably support a lot of weight; mine does just fine with a small dslr, and a medium sized lens. Manfrotto ball heads are awesome, and I'm very happy with the one that is packaged here.
Comments about Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Kit (Black):
The fasteners along the legs will slowly loosen or tighten themselves over time. The neck bolt stripped the fitting on my tripod. Then the tightening apparatus stripped its threading after replacing the nut inside the neck piece. The horizontal option is nice but after time it will shift even after tightening as far as you can.

Comments about Manfrotto 190XPROB Tripod Kit (Black):
I primarily use this product for long waterfall exposures and low light photography.
I have been quite impressed with this product. It is very versatile with the multi-position legs and horizontal position center tube. The 486RC2 head I purchased with this product is superb, and when locked down, I have no apprehensions about lugging the kit fully extended with my 40D and an 18-200. *I did notice some small vibrations on depression when the tripod was fully extended, so I have been using my 2 sec delay when the tripod is at full height.
