I have these mics hooked up to Sony Digital Voice Recorders. They work GREAT!!! Don't waste your money on expensive wireless microphones that don't ever give you 100% reliable, great sounding audio. Get these mics paired up with an audio recorder for professional sound!!!I've been in the video business for over 6 years, and have had horrible experiences with all other professional brands, including: Shure, Sennheiser, and others... Ever since I've abandoned my wireless, [$] systems and replaced them with these inexpensive mics paired up with Sony Digital Voice Recorders, I have had REMARKABLE audio, and will never go back to the wireless systems. It takes a little more time to edit and sync the audio to the video, but the end product is WELL worth it!!!These simple, inexpensive mics are GREAT to use for every day recording: talking heads, interviews, weddings, commercials, ambient sound, etc!

I use two of these lavs for large events with the Azden on-camera dual wireless receiver, ULT100. The two that came with the set had shorting problems at the end of the cords after only a few uses. I had to buy 2 more already. These mics have an acceptable sound for live events, but they are no great shakes. As soon as I can afford to buy some "real" wireless microphones, I am going to toss these.

It's great for interviews. I just bought something to extend the cord, but for the price you can't beat it.

Comments about Azden EX-503 Lavalier Microphone:
- Pros: It has a good noise rejection, great & warm sound and it's very easy to clip on clothes. I've used it plugged directly into my Canon T2i and it gave great results for speech while recording. The clip is sturdy and it holds well on clothes. It also has a good cable lenght.
- Cons: So far, I haven't experienced anything bad about that mic.

Great for the price. The cord wears quickly. But at the price you can a few and have them handy. Cord could be a little longer.

Comments about Azden EX-503 Lavalier Microphone:
I purchased this mic to make voice recordings to dub in videos where wind noise or distance from the camera would make it impossible to get clear audio. It works well and for the money it is a real good solution. I would purchase one again if I needed another lavalier.

Comments about Azden EX-503 Lavalier Microphone:
I shoot weddings and own a higher end wireless mic system. This mic's sound pickup is not very strong, it is really only able to pick up the person it is on, our other mic can pick up that person and those around him/her. For the price, you get a decent mic, but don't expect it to be your main workhorse for events. If you just want to mic one person for simple interviews, it'll work well. We bought this to replace one that was broken, so it isn't the most durable thing in the world.

Comments about Azden EX-503 Lavalier Microphone:
I use this with my Zoom H2 and it works great. I'm sure it's not professional quality, but if you want professional quality you're gonna have to pay a lot more. To me the audio sounds just fine. If you're not a stickler for perfect sound quality this is by far the best deal. The only thing I would change would be to lengthen the cord, it's 39 inches long.

was warned that this might not work with the audio-technica pro88 system, but works just fine. perhaps better sound than the mic included in that set.

I needed a mini plug lavs for a shoot but didn't want to pay a lot. Found this Azden mic and have been very pleased with the performance. I use them for my Edirol R-09s. I bought a couple more R-09s and needed more lavs so I ordered three more of these. I shoot weddings and the pickup ability is great for my purposes.
