With the holiday season now upon us, there’s never been a better time to gift the Apple-lover in your life a brand-new Apple device (even if that Apple-lover happens to be you). In case you need some help deciding which particular Apple product to get, we've put together a list of some of our favorite, more recent products. From the latest-and-greatest MacBook Pro to the revolutionary AirPod Max headphones, all the best Apple products are listed here.
MacBook Pro
Powered by Apple's new M2 chip, the 13.3" MacBook Pro is faster and more powerful than its predecessor—which is quite a statement considering just how capable the M1 MacBook Pro still is. The Pro's 8-Core CPU is now paired with an upgraded 10-Core GPU, which helps deliver performance speeds up to 40x faster than its predecessor—depending on the application. On top of being significantly faster and more powerful than its forebears, the new MacBook Pro delivers a remarkably long 20-hour battery life, so you won't have to be married to an outlet or worry about losing power while you're on the go.

Despite its awesome new chip, the 13.3" MacBook Pro sfeatures the same 720p FaceTime HD camera, which is serviceable, and the same wide-bezeled Retina display, which is still gorgeous. Still, the bottom line is that the M2-enabled 13.3" MacBook Pro is a lightweight powerhouse that provides peerless, professional-level performance. If you want to gift the most powerful, most capable laptop in the world, then this is it.
MacBook Air
The MacBook Pro isn't the only Apple laptop featuring new M2 silicon. The redesigned MacBook Air also features Apple's latest chip, as well as its first major hardware revision. Similar to what we saw with the MacBook Pro, the M2-enabled MacBook Air seriously outperforms its predecessor in every meaningful category or metric.
And again: when we say "predecessor," we're not talking about some relic here. The M1 MacBook Air is a speedy featherweight that set the laptop world on fire when it debuted last year. The M2 is just better. In fact, the M2-enabled MacBook Air is so good we voted it our best laptop of the year.

Along with its powerful new chip, the MacBook Air also features a handsome new aluminum clamshell design. The aesthetically pleasing chassis houses a larger 13.6" notched Liquid Retina display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, and a four-speaker sound system. By the way: that sexy new Liquid Retina display boasts a 2560 x 1664 resolution and features 500 nits of brightness, making it the brightest MacBook Air to date. Capping it all off is the MacBook Air's all-day, 18-hour battery life, allowing users to work anytime, anywhere.
Bottom line: the M2-enabled MacBook Air is incredibly portable, incredibly powerful, and thanks to an exhaustive list of features and bona fides, one of the best laptops available today.
iMac
The MacBook Air wasn't the only Apple product that recently received a major redesign. Last year, the M1-enabled iMac debuted with a fresh new look and color scheme. The updated color palette was a welcome surprise, but the real story was the new processor. For the first time ever, the iMac featured Apple's own M1 silicon, giving it the power to do everything better.

What do we mean by "do everything better?" Well, for starters, the updated iMac logged processing speeds that obliterated its predecessor by up to 85%. Similarly, its GPU works literally twice as fast in certain professional editing apps, including Adobe Photoshop or Affinity. Not only is it crazy fast, and way more powerful than the previous model, the new iMac's screen is a 24" 4.5K Retina piece of art that supports P3 wide gamut and features True Tone technology, so color and brightness levels always look perfect.
Bottom line: the M1-enabled iMac is a gorgeous desktop that somehow manages to perform even better than it looks (and it looks great!). If you or the person you're gifting primarily works from home and/or they (you) would benefit from a stunning 24" screen, the M1-enabled iMac is the desktop du jour.
Mac Pro
After trashing the trashcan design of the 2013 Mac Pro, Apple launched a redesigned Mac Pro built for max performance, expansion, and configurability. Look forward to a 28-core Intel© Xeon™ processor, 1.5TB of RAM, eight PCIe slots, and more. There’s also going to be an Apple Afterburner accelerator card that enables playback of three simultaneous streams of 8K ProRes RAW video.
To match the power and performance of the Mac Pro, Apple also announced the Pro Display XDR, which is a massive 32" 6K Retina Display with a wide P3 color gamut and 10-bit color. Prepare to witness a peak brightness of 1600 nits.
Mac mini
The Apple M1 chip also found its way into the Mac mini. The M1 chip brings an 8-Core CPU for up to 3 times faster performance and an 8-Core GPU for up to 6 times the graphical performance. Machine learning workloads also saw up to 15 times faster performance over the previous generation. The Mac mini can output to an Apple Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution and can utilize Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for wireless Internet access.
People who want an efficient computer in a compact design. The Mac mini is a good starting point for beginners who might want to make the switch from Windows. Please note that the Mac mini doesn’t come with a keyboard and mouse.
iPad et al.
This year, Apple's ever-expanding lineup of iPads continued to grow in numbers and capability—thanks in part to significant across-the-board upgrades to nearly every iPad iteration. The iPad Pro and iPad Air both received Apple-made silicon. The iPad Pro got the M2; the iPad Air now boasts an M1. The original iPad didn't receive an M1 or M2 chip, but it did get a CPU upgrade in the form of an A14 Bionic chip, which is still plenty—especially for a tablet.
All three models also received plenty of additional updates, including bigger and better screens, USB C connectivity (finally!), improved camera and battery performance, and more. Each new iPad sits at a different price and performance tier, which makes choosing the best option a little bit easier.
Do you want the most powerful, most capable, fairly expensive tablet ever made? Get the iPad Pro. Maybe you're looking for a travel-friendly device that delivers top-tier performance without weighing you down? The iPad Air. Or maybe you just need a tablet that delivers great all-around performance, has a big, beautiful screen, and doesn't cost as much as your mortgage. The iPad 2022 is a great pick.

AirPods Max
Apple offers plenty of great options for headphones, but the AirPods Max are our favorite pair by far. Forget the specs for a second and just look at them. The colors, the design, the big earcups and color-coordinated mesh canopy: it's perfect.
Of course, along with looking great, the AirPods Max also sound great. Featuring Apple's advanced H1 processing chip and supporting advanced listening features like Apple Lossless and Spatial Audio, the AirPods Max deliver an absolutely breathtaking listening experience. Not only do they deliver exceptional audio, the AirPods Max also feature Apple's cutting-edge Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, which will eliminate all the unwanted noise from your life.

Not only do they look and sound great, the AirPods Max also have excellent battery life. You can get up to 20 hours of battery life off a full charge. That's enough to keep them on all day and not take them off until it's time for bed. Although they're so comfy, you could sleep with them on.
Apple TV
Turn your TV into a home-media center with the Apple TV 4K. Access your favorite video-streaming services, like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu, Disney+, and more. The Apple TV 4K model delivers a vivid 4K HDR experience, thanks to Dolby Vision and HDR10 support. It can also upscale HD content on a 4K TV. Siri and the Apple TV app make it easy to search for your favorite TV show or movie. The Apple TV isn’t limited to just streaming videos—you can also share recent photos from your iPhone or iPad, receive media files via AirPlay, and more. Apple also has Apple Arcade, which is a game subscription service with more than 100 new and exclusive titles. Apple Arcade allows games to be played across iOS, macOS, and tvOS.
