Celebrate ASUS ROG 20th Anniversary

ASUS has become one of the biggest names in the technology world. From business users to the gaming enthusiasts, ASUS has developed something for everyone. And with the 20th anniversary of ASUS’s Republic of Gamers family of products, they decided to celebrate with an incredible lineup of components, peripherals, and more that you can own! Featuring a unique design language, each product emanates the aura of the ROG name. Each product is draped in a signature colorway that pays respects to the history of this historic brand with ROG Black, classic ROG Red, transparent Crystal Lens, and Radiant Gold accenting that makes each product truly stand out. So, let’s take a look at what ASUS is bringing to the table over the next few months.

The ROG Aesthetic

Each of these devices demands attention. They all have this unique aesthetic that stands out but the ROG 20th anniversary devices are more than just sleek looking designs. These are zero-compromises devices with enough under the hood to make them the best they could ever be.

Components

ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 Motherboard

The flagship motherboard is back and with a new, stylish look! The ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 is designed for AMD Ryzen 9000-, 8000-, and 7000-series desktop processors and includes all the bells and whistles you could ever want! Aside from the motherboard itself, you also get an exclusive, and impressive liquid AiO CPU cooler that not only provides ample cooling but also has a screen so you can truly customize your system.

ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 Motherboard

The ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 utilizes the multiple power stages to maintain power and performance across the entire motherboard. We have four memory DIMM slots that can handle a total of 256GB of DDR5 memory. There are two PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slots for your graphics and utility cards along with five M.2 slots for your storage drives. Using the ROG Hyper M.2 card and the ROG Q-DIMM.2 unit, you can get four additional M.2 slots, bringing your total storage configuration options up to nine slots!

What I find most impressive about the Crosshair X870E Edition 20 is the number of added features that makes it not just easy to install components, but to maintain them as well. PCIe Slot Q-Release makes it easy to install and remove graphics cards. M.2 slots feature Q-Release, Q-Slide, and Q-Latch to help with storage drive installation. You also get Q-Antena for your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options. Q-Code display helps you troubleshoot issues quickly and easily. And finally, Clear CMOS and BIOS Flashback buttons are found on the motherboard, which provides you with a way to reset your CMOS battery without opening the case and updating your BIOS with piece of mind, respectively.

Aside from the full-copper VRM heatsinks located all around the motherboard, the Crosshair X870E Edition 20 includes the ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 AiO CPU cooler! This triple-fan layout promotes airflow within your system while also keeping your CPU cool under heavy loads. Together, the microfinned copper cold plate and heatsink work alongside the Asetek Emma Gen10 V3Rx pump to keep the CPU well under thermal control. A swivel dual 6.67” AMOLED LCD screen can be programmed with various animations and images, adding that sense of customization and personality to your rig. You can even sync the AiO’s display to the one found on the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 for added visual effects!

ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20

When it comes to gaming and zero compromises, you can’t go wrong with the behemoth that is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, a graphics card that can run just about anything you throw at it from games to design work. So, it only makes sense for ASUS to give the flagship card a 20th Anniversary upgrade with the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20!

ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20

Technical specification-wise, the Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 comes packed with 32GB of dedicated GDDR7 memory designed for your games as well as various power-user software like blueprinting, CAD, and more! For those working in the AI workload field, it has a performance profile that is ranked at 3352 TOPS, making it ideal for those who really want to bend the technology to their liking.

Two ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 graphics cards, one laying vertically and one horizontally

While the technical specifications are rather impressive, it is the overall style and design that makes the Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 really stand out! This 5.48-inch-thick card has an incredibly robust heatsink cooler accompanied by three intake fans and one exhaust fan, all working together to keep the graphics card well under thermal load. But the real eye-catching piece is the curved AMOLED display, which provides dynamic 3D visuals and custom content that can work alongside the previously mentioned Crosshair X870E Edition 20 motherboard. Not only does the GPU have the same stylish color theming, it also has a transparent glass backplate that showcases the uniquely designed custom PCB.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that with great power comes great performance. Which is why the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 features a dual-power input design drawing up to 800 watts when installed in a Back-to-Front (BTF) motherboard and directly connected to the power supply via a 12V-2x6 cable. This results in even greater performance with up to 10% more headroom, making it a great addition for the overclocking fan. Of course, not every power supply can handle this GPU which is why ASUS came out with the next item of discussion.

ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20

Providing a total output of 3000W, the ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20 is the powerhouse that can handle extreme configurations with ease! Leveraging server-grade GaN MOSFET to deliver massive amounts of power to your high-level components, the ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20 proves to be just as reliable as it is powerful!

ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20 on display

Dual-voltage adaptive design enables you to switch from 3000W at 230V to 1600W at 115V for those setups that might not need every single ounce of power. After all, while this is 80 PLUS Titanium rated, you still want to optimize your efficiency. There is also a GPU-First Intelligent Voltage Stabilizer to better balance power. A Patented ROG Equalizer PCIe Power Cable features the same black and gold motif as well as a purple tip so you know when the GPU power cable is fully plugged into your graphics card! Additionally, on the front side of the power supply is a magnetic OLED display that shows various stats like power consumption in real-time.

ROG GR20 Edition 20

While your components could go inside of a full-tower-enclosed case, the option to really show off your components with the ROG GR20 Edition 20 is perhaps the most stylish way to do it! This open-air case allows you to show off your components while also leveraging various cooling capabilities that make this particular system stand out, transforming your PC into the centerpiece of your room.

ROG GR20 Edition 20 on display

Sporting an aluminum frame design, the GR20 Edition 20 offers strong and rigid construction making it one of the more reliable open-air cases to date. A unique Crossflow Fan located on the bottom delivers wide airflow coverage to ensure all your components remain cool, after all, a little extra airflow won’t hurt anything. For large GPUs, a reinforced card bracket adds stability to ensure everything remains in place. Speaking of place, there are three placement options for the GR20 Edition 20: horizontal, vertical, and diagonal, allowing you to display your work in three different unique ways.

The GR20 Edition 20’s modular design can accommodate E-ATX motherboards, graphics cards up to 14.4” long, power supplies with a maximum length of 7.4”, and three 120mm fans or a single 360mm radiator. You can also move the I/O panel for the optimal placement, giving you additional flexibility within your system.

Apart from all these wonderful devices coming out to celebrate 20 years of Republic of Gamers, ASUS plans on attending various conferences all over so you can get a first-hand look at a few of these cool computers and components. But if you can’t make it to anything but want more information on each of them, keep your eyes on B&H.
