The CraftBot3 - Dual Extruders and Filament Monitoring System

0Share

In an effort to make 3D printing more seamless and user-friendly, CraftBot “crafted” its CraftBot3 3D Printer with a filament monitoring system (FMS), which helps avoid wasted time and money by supervising filament consumption, starting immediate troubleshooting when a filament jam is detected, and messaging you in case you need to intervene. The printer also features two separate print heads, making it possible to print two objects simultaneously, or print support PVA while printing a single object. This makes printing object supports more user-friendly, because the supports can be dissolved in water after printing is finished.

Aside from its filament monitoring system and dual extruders, the CraftBot3 features Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) printing technology with a build height of 9.8" and a total printing area of 14.7 x 9.8", a dual printer head print area of 10.6 x 9.8", and a single printer head print area of 12.7 x 9.8". Layer resolution is 50 microns and prints are created at speeds ranging from 50 to 200mm/s using 1.75mm filament. The CraftBot3 is also equipped with a heated and removable print bed, a nozzle that can print at temperatures as high as 572°F, and LED status indicators. You can print your compatible .obj, .stl, and .crprj files via 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi on systems running Windows 7 and above, Mac OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android.
