Hikvision has expanded its DeepinView series with the DS-2TD1217-x/V1 thermal and optical network turret cameras. The cameras combine a vanadium oxide uncooled focal plane array, along with a 1/2.7" progressive scan CMOS sensor to function as both a thermal and optical network camera.
These hybrid cameras come in 1.8mm, 3.1mm, and 6.2mm thermal lens iterations. The 1.8mm model delivers a 90 x 66.4° field of view, while the 3.1mm and 6.2mm models deliver a 50 x 37.2° and 25 x 18.7° field of view, respectively.
Beyond thermal capabilities, the 1.8mm thermal lens model is equipped with a 2.1mm optical lens to capture 1080p video at 30 fps. The 3.1mm and 6.2mm thermal lens models are equipped with a 4mm and 6mm optical lens respectively to also capture 1080p video at 30 fps. The optical module has an IR cut filter for day and night functionality, along with IR illumination for up to 50'.
Like other cameras in the DeepinView series, these models have a GPU to run VCA (video content analysis) algorithms for features such as line crossing, intrusion, region entrance/exit with human and vehicle filtering, temperature exception, early warning fire prevention, advanced fire detection, and cigarette-smoking detection.
Other features include two-way audio, an alarm input and output, support for microSD cards up to 256GB, ONVIF compliance for interoperability with other surveillance devices, remote management with an iOS or Android device via the iVMS-4200 client, an IP67-rated enclosure for safe outdoor use, and lightning, surge, and transient voltage protection.
