Now you can use your studio cans on the go, with the release of the Audio-Technica ATH-M20xBT Wireless Over-Ear Headphones. Whether you’re a pro who’s tracking and mixing for hours, or just a fan of great-sounding audio, the ATH-M20xBT matches the professional-quality hi-fi sound of their wired counterpart, the ATH-M20x. Both are introductions into Audio-Technica’s critically acclaimed M-Series. Both sport 40mm drivers and the same comfortable, noise-isolating padded earcups and headband. However, the ATH-M20xBT stands alone with Bluetooth wireless support and a host of mobile-friendly technologies.

When you make any pair of headphones wireless, you must expect that they will be used for more than simply listening to music. Audio-Technica understands this, which is why the brand has equipped the ATH-M20xBT with low-latency mode, multipoint support, and an integrated microphone for handling hands-free calling.

When viewing a streaming video on a smartphone or tablet, low-latency mode works to ensure that the audio you hear is synced with the movements of the individuals you’re watching on the screen, for a natural, enjoyable experience. Multipoint adds convenience by letting you pair the over-ear headphones with two devices simultaneously. This capability allows for seamless transition between mobile devices. So, if you’re watching something on a tablet, the ATH-M20xBT can switch to an incoming call on your smartphone and back again, all without having to re-pair to each device.

All these features can be powered for days, thanks to generous battery life of up to 60 hours on a full charge. This is enhanced by a rapid-charge feature that is great when you’re in a rush and have forgotten to recharge. With rapid charge, a quick 10-minute recharge via USB Type-C will give you up to 3 hours of playback. To maximize the usefulness of the ATH-M20xBT, Audio-Technica includes a 3.9' audio cable with each pair. So, if you need to listen to a non-wireless device, or your battery dies, you can still use them as traditional headphones.

Thanks to the release of the ATH-M20xBT, now entry-level mobile music fans can enjoy the pro quality and comfort of a pair of M-Series headphones.
