From Sharp Minds Come New Sharp TVs

After having its North American TV factory acquired by Hisense, Sharp is making its presence felt in the market with the new N-Series of smart LED TVs. This new product line starts off with the N4000U-Series, which offers 32, 43, 50, and 55" models. They’re all smart TVs with the Roku OS, integrated voice search capability, and built-in Wi-Fi connectivity for a wireless connection to your router or modem. The 32" model is 1080p, while the rest in this series offer 4K resolution. You can control them with the included remote or download a mobile app on your iOS, Android, or Windows device for more high-tech control options.

If you’re looking for a step-up from the aforementioned series but don’t need the top of the line, then perhaps the N7000U-Series is for you. Available in 43, 50, 55, 60, and 65" screen sizes, the N7000U adds HDR compatibility, built-in Ethernet connectivity, and an integrated web browser to its arsenal of features. As you may know, High Dynamic Range (or HDR) offers a brighter image with a wider color gamut for more vibrant colors. Ethernet connectivity allows you to conserve your Wi-Fi bandwidth when streaming video, which is important in Wi-Fi-congested homes.

Saving the most feature-loaded TVs for last, the two flagship models are the 65" curved LC-65N9000U and the 75" flat LC-75N8000U. These two add a 120 Hz refresh rate and active LED zones (16 in the 75" and a whopping 192 in the 65") to their proverbial tool boxes. Their 120 Hz refresh rate will help make fast motion appear smoother, which is important for fans of action movies or sports. Active LED zones (more = better) will improve the perceived contrast ratio by dimming the specific areas of the screen where the image is supposed to appear dark while leaving bright parts of the image unaffected. Between the two, having a curved screen can provide a more immersive experience than a flat screen. Whether you prefer flat or curved, either of these TVs will upgrade virtually any living room or bedroom.
