Google knows tech, and the company brought its A-game to a lower price point with its latest true wireless in-ear headphones, the Pixel Buds A-Series. Available in clearly white and dark olive finishes, the Pixel Buds A-Series brings a slew of features from the popular Pixel Buds to create a cost-effective true wireless earbud made to perform comfortably whether you’re working at home, sitting on a train, or jogging your normal route.
Like the regular Pixel Buds, the A-Series variants utilize adaptive sound technology to adjust the volume automatically as you move between quiet and noisy environments. When in noisy environments, beamforming microphones focus in on your voice for clear calls and voice commands. These voice commands let you use Google Assistant to control your audio, get directions, send a text, and more. Touch controls are also present for easy track skipping, play/pause, and answering calls. To assist with call clarity, the A-Series have built-in noise reduction and forego the wind reduction found on the Pixel Buds.
As with the Pixel Buds, audio is delivered via custom-designed 12mm dynamic drivers and can play for up to 5 hours at a time on a full charge. An included charging case stores and recharges the Pixel Buds A-Series, providing enough power for an additional 19 hours. With 24 total hours of power, you can use the Pixel Buds A-Series all day long in nearly any situation. Whereas the case for the standard Pixel Buds offers wireless charging and USB charging, the A-Series case charges only via USB.
The Pixel Buds A-Series ear buds are water resistant against perspiration and rain, so they make an ideal companion in the gym or outdoors. Created after scanning thousands of ears, the design of the Pixel Buds A-Series is flush to the ear, and the stabilizer arc and three sizes of ear tips ensure they stay securely in place.
Thanks to one-tap pairing with your Pixel or Android, the Pixel Buds A-Series are incredibly easy to use. Plus, they can be used with iOS mobile devices such as iPhones and iPads or any other device equipped with Bluetooth 4.0. If the chaos of life leaves you searching for misplaced A-Series earphones, the Find My Device function can emit an audible ring from them—great if they’re within earshot—or show their last known location on a map. That’s fantastic news, because you surely won’t want to be without these enjoyable earbuds.
